Strongman is a sport that requires years of dedication and steady, consistent improvement since building strength is quite a complex project. However, at 14 years old, Bubba Pritchett is already showing signs of greatness, lifting weights that even seasoned lifters struggle to comprehend. The recent example of this was Bubba’s 600-pound (272.2-kilogram) raw deadlift, which he achieved in training.

While it is unusual to see such a young athlete chase his aspirations in the sport of Strongman, Bubba Pritchett’s journey does show that it is possible. His strength is unbelievable, to say the least, across all aspects of the sport, including his overhead pressing, carrying, and more. However, his ability to deadlift is what stands out the most, as seen in his recent Instagram post.

For his training session, Bubba Pritchett put on a lifting belt and lifting straps, making his lift raw by Strongman standards. He also performed the 600-pound (272.2-kilogram) pull with a conventional stance, once again upholding the rules of the sport. As for the lift itself, Bubba quickly got the bar off the floor, showcasing impressive power and technique. After getting the barbell above his knees, he utilized the hitching movement to reach lockout. Bubba then held the bar in the locked-out position for a number of seconds.

Bubba Pritchet also added a caption inside his video, posing the question “World’s strongest teenager?” Well, with the lifts that he is achieving, Bubba is certainly one of the few athletes who could be in contention for the status. With the rate at which he is progressing, there is no doubt that Bubba will not only be the strongest teenager but also one of the strongest men in the world.

Bubba Pritchett is also the son of Jerry Pritchett, the 2017 America’s Strongest Man and a 6x World’s Strongest Man competitor. So, it is clear that the young Strongman has also inherited some genetic traits from his father, which, in combination with his hard work, allow him to perform lifts of incredible magnitude at the age of 14 years old.

Due to his young age, Bubba Pritchett often competes against athletes that are much older than he is. Still, he has managed to contend for multiple titles but was unable to claim gold so far. However, it is clear that it won’t take long for him to secure his first major win, as he is stronger with each day that passes.

Jerry Pritchett was known for his deadlift, as he was one of the first and only athletes to exceed the 1,000-pound (453.6-kilogram) milestone while he was competing. His son, Bubba Pritchett, is now following in his footsteps, setting the standard for young Strongman athletes in the deadlift event as well. So, it remains to be seen how far Bubba decides to push his deadlift, but there is definitely a chance that he could reach or exceed his father’s PRs in the future.
