HOW DID YOU GET STARTED WITH FITNESS/BODYBUILDING?
I’ve always been quite the athletic person, especially since I played hockey for seventeen years. I had reached a very high level of competition within this sport but weight training fast became a passion of mine. I dedicated myself in this sport and stopped playing hockey. I’ve been going to the gym for 3 years, a year ago is when I took it to a new level of dedication. Through discovering the world of fitness, I have found training to be the best way to push my limits to the maximum.
It has now become a way to live. Now, I intend to be a fitness model for the rest of my life and start competing really soon.
WHAT DOES NATURAL BODYBUILDING MEAN TO YOU?
Natural bodybuilding for me it’s when people use only legal supplement you can find in a supplement store and don’t take any injection or illegal chemical anabolic products.

Dumbbell Arnold press: This is my favourite Shoulder Exercise, it gives me a great pump: The exercise targets the front of the shoulder as well as hitting the back, this makes it a complete exercise.
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU, WHERE DOES YOUR MOTIVATION COME FROM?
My motivation mainly comes from people supporting me in my family circle or on Internet. These people help me reach my goals so I can stay focused on what I really want. I respect everyone who is dedicated to reaching their goals, I know it is not easy but I am proud knowing I help others strive for success and with their motivation to keep hitting the gym.
I also have, essential personal tricks that help me have intense training. One hour before the gym I like to watch motivational videos, I also have agreat music playlist I listen to during my workouts.
One thing that motivates me even more is when I’m going beyond my limits. I get the best feeling ever by doing so.
WHEN TRYING TO CUT WHAT TYPE OF CARDIO DO YOU PREFER? I.E HIIT OR STANDARD CARDIO?
I’m not actually doing cardio. If I had to recommend a type of cardio training it would be sprint interval. An example: Three mornings a week, whilst on an empty stomach, Try to complete 4-6 30 second sprints with 1-4 minutes break between each sprint. This way you burn more calories than with any other cardio training and you’ll get ripped faster.
WHAT SUPPLEMENTS DO YOU TAKE? WHAT IS YOUR SUPPLEMENTATION LIKE?
A great part of my supplementation is from the company who sponsors me; Beyond Yourself. Part of my supplementation: PreWod (pre-workout), L-carnitine, creatine, BCAA, glutamine, Isolate Protein and Test Booster (Alpha-test). You can find out more info’s about on their products on my website www.marcfitt.com
WHAT MISTAKES DID YOU MAKE WHEN FIRST STARTING OUT? – AND ANY ADVICE FOR NEWBIES
I didn’t follow the right diet, like most guys starting to work out I thought I had to eat a lot to gain muscle. So I was eating a lot, but a lot of crap too. But then I realised this kind of diet was not good. When you follow the right diet, limiting bad sugars and unhealthy carbohydrathes, you get results fast. My advice is to stay away from junk food and processed food.
WHO IS THE MOST INSPIRING PERSON TO YOU IN REGARDS TO FITNESS AND IN GENERAL?
Greg Plitt is my favourite of all, he’s intense, true and he has the physique I ought to have. His unique perspective, personal characteristics, and training routines have influenced my own self-image as well.
WHAT ARE YOUR SHORT TERM AND LONG TERM GOALS?
My short term goal is to inspire as many people as I can. My long term goal is to become an international model in the fitness and model industry. I also would like to be an actor in movies, I’ll always been fascinated by acting careers.
