How did you get involved with fitness and working out?
I have always loved sport from a young age and fitness and working out has stemmed from that.
Where does your motivation come from?
I am always looking to better myself. I would say I am very intrinsically driven but I am also competitive and motivated by seeing others working hard.
What’s been your proudest achievement so far?
I’m still pretty new to the fitness world but being on the USN promotions is a big achievement for me.
What’s your typical workout look like?
My work outs vary a lot depending on the goal of the session for this reason I don’t have a ‘typical’ session. One session I enjoy is full body supersets where I pick two exercises for each body part and superset them.
What’s your typical diet look like?
I generally try to eat a healthy diet. For most of the year I consciously aim to eat a high protein and fat diet with relatively low carbohydrate.
What is your supplementation like?
I take USN multiplex vitamins, EFA triple Omegas, 100% whey protein (post work out) and I use pure protein IGF-1 for mixing with egg whites to make ‘pancakes’ or quark to make ‘chocolate quark’
Who would you say is your most inspiring person to you in regards to fitness?
My favourite sports are rowing and athletics so people like Jessica Ennis and Katherine Granger are amazing role models. Fitness wise I am inspired by Andreia Brazier who has the most amazing physique.
What are your short term and long term goals?
My short term goals are to study hard for my finals and dissertation (I graduate in May) and to row well this year. Long term I want to keep improving as an athlete and continue my studies into lifestyle diseases such as diabetes.
Do you have any advice for beginners getting into fitness?
Stay committed and listen to advice but don’t be scared to question.
