HOW DID YOU GET STARTED WITH FITNESS/BODYBUILDING?

Well I started working out when I was 12 years old. So I have like 6 years of lifting under my belt! But how I got started in the fitness industry was Tanji Johnson came up to me about 5 months ago at my gym and said I should do her bodybuilding show that was in a couple of weeks! Well I did it, won my class and the overall. That was just the beginning!

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU, WHERE DOES YOUR MOTIVATION COME FROM?

I like to set goals for myself. So I am always trying to achieve these goals and do steps in order to do my goals. My motivation is to do the best I can in life and be as successful as possible.

WHAT DOES YOUR TYPICAL WORKOUT LOOK LIKE?

Weekends off, HIIT cardio every other day

WHAT DOES YOUR TYPICAL DIET LOOK LIKE?

My diet year round is the same. I’m pretty much competition ready year round. I just got done with USA’s a couple days ago and my bodyfat was the same like 4 months ago. Doesn’t fluctuate much throughout the year. So here is a normal day of eating for me:
10:00: 6 egg whites, 2 egg wholes, cup of oatmeal, banana
12:00: Cup of strawberries, 2 scoops of vanilla protein, 8oz nonfat milk, Greek yogurt
2:30: 8oz steak, salad, sweet potato, bbq sauce
5:00: 3 chicken breasts, sweet potato
7:00: Post workout
9:00: Greek yogurt, blue berries
11:00: 2 glasses of nonfat milk, greek yogurt

WHEN TRYING TO CUT, DO YOU PREFER STANDARD CARDIO OF HIIT?

YOU RECENTLY COMPETED IN THE NPC MEN’S PHYSIQUE USA (2012), HOW DID YOU FEEL ABOUT YOUR PLACING AND WHAT DID YOU TAKE AWAY FROM THE COMPETITION?

I took 5th. Not happy with it so I’m doing the IFBB North American Championships Sept. 1st in Pittsburgh.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT SO FAR IN FITNESS?

My favorite moment was probably winning the overall at the 2012 Southern States Bodybuilding Championships in Florida in July.

HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH CRAVINGS FOR JUNK FOODS, SALTY FOODS AND SWEETS?

I normally don’t crave junk food much. But when I want a cheat meal, I eat one. Lol.
