HOW DID YOU GET STARTED WITH FITNESS?
I’ve been an athlete most of my life. I LOVE to compete!
What motivates you, where does your motivation come from? My motivation comes from the desire to win & be the best I can be. I love to set and achieve new goals.
WHAT WORKOUT ROUTINE HAS WORKED BEST FOR YOU?
Combination of resistance training and Cardio. I train 6 days a week and mix things up to keep my body guessing.
IF YOU HAD TO PICK THREE EXERCISES WHAT WOULD THEY BE AND WHY?
I’d choose walking lunges, chin ups & push ups because doing these 3 exercises will give you a full body workout & you can do them almost anytime, anywhere!
WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL DIET LIKE?
I eat clean most of the time. Basically if you can grow it or kill it you can eat it. I keep processed foods and sugar to a minimum. Organic protein, green veg, & Sweet potato is often on the menu! ‘Ultimate Performance Supplements’ (protein shakes). Cheat meal once a week (WHATEVER I FEEL LIKE!).
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT SO FAR IN FITNESS?
Winning Nationals in Middle Distance running as a teen & representing Australia. Road Racing for Team GMC & Insure My Ride at Phillip Island MotoGP circuit (best buzz EVER!!!).
WHO IS THE MOST INSPIRING PERSON TO YOU IN REGARDS TO FITNESS AND IN GENERAL?
My partner Adam Browner (current IFBB Mr Australia). His dedication to his chosen sport is second to none!
DO YOU HAVE ANY FAVOURITE MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES?
There are so many! Today’s would be…
1: ‘Good things come to those who WORK’ 2: ‘A workout makes you better today than you were yesterday’
In 2007 Stacey had the opportunity to ride a GP Bike, which later led to her progression into the world of 4 strokes bikes, and competiting at 600cc class.
HOW DID YOU GET INVOLVED WITH MOTORSPORT?
I had been involved in the motorsport industry as a promotional model and was signing calendars at the 2006 motoGP. The sponsor of the event (Peter Hosking from GMC) asked if I’d be interested in becoming the ’07 GMC MotoGP ambassador. I said yes of course! To add marketing pull, they came up with the idea to have the face of the event RACE at the GP that year. Team GMC was born. To help me get the best start possible, I was fortunate enough to be coached by one of Australia’s ex world 250GP riders Ben Reid. 3 months later I was racing!
DO YOU FEEL YOUR FITNESS BACKGROUND HAS HELPED YOU WITH YOUR PASSION, PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY?
Definitely. Being fit & coming from a competitive sporting background made it possible for me to push myself through what many thought wasn’t possible. From Model to Motorcycle racer in 3 months. It was the most challenging and rewarding thing I have ever done both physically and mentally.
WHAT ARE YOUR CURRENT GOALS FOR THIS YEAR AND NEXT?
After 3 amazing seasons of racing I’ve now taken up a new sport IFBB figure (AKA body sculpting). I’ve been resistance training for 6 months now. I came from an endurance background so it’s a whole new experience for me which is exciting! I will be competing in October, followed by FitX in March next year.
