Unfortunate news recently emerged from Russia, as a popular fitness influencer, Dmitry Nuyanzin, passed away at a very young age. However, the circumstances of his death highlighted an unexpected danger, since Dmitry died after trying to complete a bizarre personal challenge that he set for himself. One of the main aspects of his challenge was to eat 10,000 calories a day, which likely contributed to his untimely passing.
Dmitry Nuyanzin amassed over 40,000 followers on Instagram by sharing fitness tips, displaying his physique, along with other interesting content. Nuyanzin was a fitness coach and often shared the progress that other people achieved under his guidance.
He recently decided to embark on a weight loss journey but first had to gain weight. He started off shredded but turned to fast food and other caloric meals to put on weight. Therefore, Dmitry Nuyanzin wanted to prove just how successful his weight-loss methodology was by bulking up and then losing weight as quickly as possible. He reportedly aimed to put on about 25 kilograms (55 pounds) before starting his cut.

As a part of his challenge, Dmitry Nuyanzin also put up a reward for those who enroll. They had to meet a couple of conditions, including being over 100 kilograms (220.5 pounds) in bodyweight and having to lose 10% of it. As a result, Dmitry intended to give out 10,000 Russian rubles, which equates to about $125.

However, before being able to complete the challenge, Dmitry Nuyanzin unfortunately passed away. As one outlet reported, Dmitry passed away in his sleep, with the cause of death being a cardiac arrest.
Reports also revealed that Dmitry Nuyanzin cancelled a training session just one day before his death because he was not feeling well and that he planned to see a doctor. Moreover, they indicate that he was around 30 years old and that he just recently got married.
Quick changes in bodyweight are never recommended, as they increase the stress that the body goes through. In turn, it is not irrational to assume that Dmitry Nuyanzin’s recent challenge had a negative impact on his death and ultimately led to his death.
Dmitry Nuyanzin’s death is a tragic reminder of how dangerous extreme challenges and pressures within the world of social media can be. While his intent may have been to inspire others, the outcome compels us all to reflect on health and safety above all else. We extend our deepest and most sincere condolences to his family and friends in these difficult moments. May he Rest in Peace.
