Bodybuilders concentrate on building muscles as the goal of being a bodybuilder is to look like the ultimate alpha, the definition of strength and superiority. But athletes who compete in strongman or powerlifting competitions can be far stronger than a bodybuilder.
Of course, a bodybuilder is going to be strong to some extent, because you can’t simply pack on a ton of muscle by only lifting ten-pound weights your whole life. A bodybuilder who always lifts heavier and heavier weights will be strong because his muscles get adapted quickly and require more stimulation.
