Event One — Deadlift

The first test of strength at the 2025 Official Strongman Games European Championships was the Deadlift for reps. The athletes were given a total of 60 seconds to lock out as many repetitions as possible on an axle barbell setup. The men had to pull 320 kilograms (705.5 pounds), while women lifted 230 kilograms (507.1 pounds).

Men

Being the only man to achieve double digits when it came to reps on the deadlift, Oleg Pylypiak took away the win from event one. Interestingly, four other men were stuck on nine reps in the second-place spot, having to share points. This event went well for Oleg, as he built a substantial lead at the start of the competition.

  • Oleg Pylypiak — 11 reps
  • Ryan Bennett — 9 reps
  • Jamie Butler — 9 reps
  • Jan Lacina — 9 reps
  • Fredrik Johansson — 9 reps
  • Marek Czajkowski — 8 reps
  • Matyáš Funiok — 8 reps
  • Peter Reinthaler — 8 reps
  • Tom Place — 8 reps
  • Jack Osborn — 7 reps
  • Mitch Flowers — 7 reps
  • Luboš Klinecký — 7 reps
  • William Relf — 5 reps
  • Dawid Pakulski — 4 reps

Women

The women’s division saw Claire Myler take the event win following an intense battle between multiple athletes. She finished with seven repetitions, narrowly getting ahead of Donna Moore, who had just one rep less. Patricia Smith was an additional rep behind Moore, which put her in third place.

  • Annabelle Chapman — 2 reps
  • Gemma Moore — 2 reps
  • Maxine Winter — 2 reps

  • Nicole McMillan — No Lift
  • Jade Crouch — No Lift
  • Becky Mills — No Lift
  • Holly Ford — No Lift

Event Two — Log Lift

The second event of the 2025 OSG European Championships introduced another iconic Strongman exercise — the Log Lift. Featuring a similar format to the deadlift, the athletes had one minute to achieve the highest number of reps they could. The weight of the men’s Log came out to 150 kilograms (330.7 pounds), with the women’s implement being slightly lighter at 100 kilograms (220.5 pounds).

Men

The Log Lift was an interesting event for the men since the roster was filled with athletes who possessed impressive upper-body strength. The event came down to a tie for first place between Jack Osborn and Marek Czajkowski, as both men completed eight reps with the massive Log. Pylypiak, Funiok, and Bennett were not far behind either, since all of them ended the event on seven reps.

  • Marek Czajkowski — 8 reps
  • Jack Osborn — 8 reps
  • Oleg Pylypiak — 7 reps
  • Ryan Bennett — 7 reps

  • Dawid Pakulski — 5 reps
  • Tom Place — 3 reps
  • Luboš Klinecký — 2 reps
  • Fredrik Johansson — 1 rep

Women

The women’s Log proved to be too big of a challenge for the majority of the lineup, as only three women ended up getting any repetitions on the board. Out of those three, Annabelle Chapman ranked first, lifting the log four times before reaching her limit. Moore and Winter shared the second place spot with two reps each.

  • Annabelle Chapman — 4 reps
  • Donna Moore — 2 reps
  • Maxine Winter — 2 reps
  • Patricia Smit — No Lift

Event Three — Sandbag Toss

As the athletes moved on to the third event of the competition, they were met with a short but explosive test of strength. Specifically, they had to toss five sandbags over a beam, with the weight of the bags progressively increasing. Men’s bags started at 18 kilograms (39.7 pounds) and ended at 28 kilograms (61.7 pounds). On the other hand, the weight of the bags in the women’s division ranged from 12 kilograms (26.5 pounds) to 17 kilograms (37.5 pounds).
