The 2025 Strongman Champions League Hungary was the 11th stage of the season-long SCL, and it took place on September 6th in Siófok. It consisted of just four events, but that had a significant effect on the athletes’ strategy, as each point mattered even more. Ultimately, Peter Juhasz beat 11 other competitors to secure the trophy.

Peter Juhasz did not finish lower than second place in either of the four events. So, he ended with a tally of 44.5 points, beating the next best man by a margin of 4.5 points. Being a Hungarian representative, there is no doubt that the win carried even more value for Juhasz.

Event One — Viking Press

The 2025 Strongman Champions League Hungary started off with the Viking Press event. It featured a special apparatus that tasked the athletes with overhead pressing 165 kilograms (363.8 pounds) for as many reps as possible. They were also under a time crunch, as they had 60 seconds to set a score.

While multiple athletes put up impressive results, Albin Hasanovic managed to break through into first place with a total of 16 repetitions. He went all out throughout the entire 60 seconds, showing off incredible upper body power as well as his endurance.

Peter Juhasz and Adam Roszkowski performed 15 repetitions, which put them in a two-way tie for second place. Both men had the power needed to take the win, but Albin performed his reps just slightly quicker than they did.

Event Two — Bag Toss Medley

The second event of the 2025 Strongman Champions League Hungary was more about speed and technique, as athletes looked to set the quickest time possible on the Bag Toss Medley. They had to toss four bags, ranging in weight from 22-kg (48.5-lb) to 30-kg (66.1-lb), over a beam that was set to a height of 4.3 meters.

The majority of the roster completed the entire event, but no one was quicker than Peter Juhasz. Competing in front of his home crowd, Peter gave his all and finished in a time of 12.64 seconds. So, he took the event win and the overall lead.

Evans Nana and Aivars Smaukstelis put up a great show while battling for second place. Both men were incredibly fast, but Nana’s time turned out to be 0.33 seconds quicker. So, Aivars had to settle for a third-place finish.

Event Three — Sandbag Loading

For the penultimate event of the competition, the athletes took on some more bags. This time, they had to pick up, carry for 10 meters, and finally load three heavy sandbags. The weight of the implements came out to 100-kg (220.5-lb), 120-kg (264.6-lb), and 140-kg (308.6-lb), respectively. It was a timed event, making it a race to see who is the quickest.

Evans Nana was the one who took the win in the third event of the day. He had no trouble completing any portion of the challenge, finishing everything in a time of 21.67 seconds. So, he took the max points and made a huge step toward a podium finish overall.

Peter Juhasz was not far behind Nana, crossing the line with a time of 22.28 seconds to finish in second place. So, he continued his push for the title. William Relf rounded up the top three in the event, finishing just 0.09 seconds after Juhasz.

Event Four — Barrel Loading Medley

The final event of the 2025 Strongman Champions League Hungary was the Barrel Loading Medley. As a result, the athletes had to load six implements ranging in weight from 100-kg (220.5-lb) to 200-kg (440.9-lb). The main goal was to finish the event in the shortest time possible.

Evans Nana achieved his second event win in a row since he was the only athlete who completed the entire event in under half a minute. He also officially secured a silver medal overall.

Peter Juhasz found himself in second place once again, trailing Evans by just 2 seconds. However, by adding 11 points to his tally, Peter managed to become the 2025 Strongman Champions League Hungary champion. Adam Roszkowski finished third in the event but missed out on the overall podium by just 0.5 points.

Peter Juhasz has taken part in a total of 30 international Strongman competitions over the past few years. He often found himself battling for the podium but never managed to take the gold medal prior to the 2025 Strongman Champions League Hungary. He is already gearing up for his next event, scheduled to compete at the 2025 SCL USA.
