The 2025 Strongman Champions League Serbia marked the third stage of the ongoing SCL season. It took place on May 24th in Zrenjanin, Serbia, gathering some of the most notable active figures in the sport. Consequently, the competition proved to be incredibly exciting, with Evans Nana taking the win following a tense and unpredictable finish.
Evans Nana and Aivars Smaukstelis were battling for the title throughout the majority of the competition. Aivars was the one who got up to an early lead, but Evans managed to catch up due to his consecutive wins in the last three events. So, once all events were done, it turned out that both men had the exact same number of points.
The only way to resolve it is to go to a tiebreaker. Following the standardized rules of Strongman, Evans Nana was crowned the champion, having won the final event of the 2025 Strongman Champions League Serbia. With three first places, Nana also had more event wins than Aivars, who had just one.

Event One — Truck Pull
The Truck Pull is one of the staple events in the Strongman Champions League, which is why it opened up the contest in Serbia. The weight of the vehicle was unknown, but the distance was set to 20 meters. The athletes had to pull the vehicle all the way across the track, with the goal being to cross the finish line faster than anyone else. The time limit was set to 60 seconds.
The German representative, Dennis Kohlruss, moved with pace despite being attached to a massive vehicle. He finished the event in 33.35 seconds to take the win and kick off his appearance with the maximum points available.
Shaun Schellenger was just 0.12 seconds slower than Kohlruss. This cost him the win but still secured a very valuable second-place finish. Albin Hasanovic was not far behind either, crossing the finish line in 35.1 seconds to round out the top three.
- Dennis Kohlruss — 33.35 seconds
- Shaun Schellenger — 33.47 seconds

Event Two — Viking Press
The 2025 Strongman Champions League Serbia posed another difficult challenge on event two. It tasked the athletes with overhead pressing 160 kilograms (352.7 pounds) on a Viking Press apparatus for as many reps as possible. The time limit was once again set to one minute.
One of the most experienced athletes in the current pro Strongman scene, Aivars Smaukstelis, took the top spot on the Viking Press. He blew his rivals away, becoming the only man to achieve double-digit reps. Moreover, he didn’t stop there, pushing himself to 12 reps in total.
Aivars was followed by a three-man tie for second place. Juhasz, Hasanovic, and Invernizzi all locked out nine repetitions, thus having to share the position and the points. This was an incredible achievement for Hasanovic, who started his performance with back-to-back placings in the top three.
- Aivars Smaukstelis — 12 reps
- Peter Juhasz — 9 reps
- Albin Hasanovic — 9 reps
- Andrea Invernizzi — 9 reps

The speed and grip were key elements in the third event of the 2025 Strongman Champions League Serbia. The athletes had to pick up two 140-kilogram (308.6-pound) implements and carry them for a total distance of 40 meters. So, the goal was to finish in the quickest time possible.
Evans Nana managed to hold tight to the implements while moving at spectacular speed across the field. He made the event look easy, finishing the given task in just 16.98 seconds. So, Nana proved once again why many believe that he is one of the quickest pro Strongman athletes.
Aivars Smaukstelis was just under two seconds slower than Evans Nana, which allowed him to take second place in the event. Furthermore, it pushed him into first place overall at that point in the competition. Kevin Hazeleger was the third-quickest man with a time of 19.66 seconds.

They were allowed to use lifting straps but were limited with time, having only 60 seconds to achieve the highest number of reps.
Evans Nana knew that he had no more room to spare if he wanted to go for the title. So, he went all out on the deadlift, taking the event win with 12 reps. With this, he continued cutting down Aivars’ overall lead.
Aivars Smaukstelis refused to drop too many points, finishing in second place with 10 repetitions to his name. Unfortunately for him, Mitch Flowers also locked out 10 reps, thus tying with Aivars and forcing him to share points.

Event Five — Sandbag Loading Race
The last task of the day at the 2025 Strongman Champions League Serbia was the Sandbag Loading Race. It consisted of three implements that were placed 12 meters away from the loading platform. So, the athletes had to pick up, carry, and drop off the implements. The weight of the bags was: 120-kg (264.5-lb), 140-kg (308.6-lb). and 160-kg (352.7-lb).
