How these calculators work Method, not opinion

Each tool runs one published formula or one published rule set. The inputs stay in your browser and in the address bar, which is what makes a result a link you can send to a coach.

Named

Every calculator names the formula it runs on the page that uses it, so a number can be checked against its source instead of taken on trust.

Deterministic

The same inputs always return the same result. Nothing is randomised, weighted by traffic, or tuned to make a figure look better than it is.

Linkable

Inputs travel in the URL, so a result is a shareable link and the page works with the browser back button rather than trapping you in a form.

Not stored

No account, no sign-in, and nothing you type is saved to a profile. Close the tab and the numbers are gone.

About Our Bodybuilding Calculators

Our suite of bodybuilding calculators is designed for competitive and recreational bodybuilders who want data-driven insights into their physique and competition readiness. Each calculator uses established formulas and current IFBB Pro League rules.

  • FFMI Calculator: uses the Kouri et al. formula to estimate your muscular development relative to your height, providing both raw and normalized scores.
  • Contest Prep Timeline: helps you plan a safe, effective cut based on proven prep protocols used by top coaches.
  • How Strong Am I: scores squat, bench and deadlift against bodyweight on the strength-standards tool that owns that question across the site.
  • Division Fit Finder: uses official IFBB Pro League criteria including Classic Physique weight caps to recommend your best competitive division.
  • Olympia Points Calculator: applies the qualification rule your division actually runs on. Four divisions qualify on a season points race, seven qualify on a contest win where points count for nothing, and Wheelchair uses both on a scale of its own.

Genetic Potential and Lean Body Mass are benchmarked against measured Olympia champions rather than a published formula alone, so they live in the tools directory instead of here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Fat-Free Mass Index (FFMI) is a measure of how much muscle you carry relative to your height.

An FFMI above 25 is widely considered the approximate natural limit for most men, making it a useful benchmark for assessing muscular development. It helps bodybuilders understand where they stand compared to natural and enhanced competitors.

What these tools are

Population models, not medical assessments

Each calculator fits your numbers to a formula built from group averages. That is enough to say where a figure sits in a distribution. It says nothing about whether you are healthy, whether a plan is safe for you, or what your body will do next.

  • No result here is a diagnosis, and none of it is medical or training advice. Talk to a doctor before changing how you eat or train.
  • A model is only as good as the number you feed it. Body fat estimates in particular move a result by more than most people expect.
  • Division rules and qualification systems are set by the IFBB Pro League and change between seasons. Check the current rulebook before you enter a show.
