The 2026 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Classic will take place on March 6-7 in Columbus, Ohio. The competition weekend is set to be packed with action, as some of the strongest men in the world will gather and battle across a total of six events. The organizers turned to Instagram and announced the full set of events for both the Strongman and Strongwoman.
The 2026 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Classic events have added to the excitement, as they were the final piece of the puzzle for this year’s competition. Someone like Trey Mitchell will be delighted to see that there are no grip-dominant events this year, as these kinds of challenges were known to be his ‘Achilles heel’ in previous editions.

Event Overview
Event One — Elephant Bar Deadlift
The opening event of the 2026 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Classic is the Elephant Bar Deadlift. It is a recurring challenge at the competition and one that brings with it a lot of excitement. Athletes from both divisions will have three attempts to establish a one-rep max, similar to how they did in previous years.
Event Two — Cyr/Monster Dumbbell Challenge
The second event of the competition will be a test of upper-body strength. The Strongmen will try to lift the Cyr dumbbell, while the women will face the Monster dumbbell. The event will likely be an AMRAP (As Many Reps As Possible) within a given time limit. The weights of the dumbbell have not been confirmed.
Event Three — Stone to Shoulder
The final event of day one at the 2026 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Classic will be a Stone to Shoulder. The goal will be to pick the stone up off the floor, lift it up to the shoulder, and show control at the top. Once they receive the down signal, the athletes will drop the stone to the floor and repeat the process. The goal will be to accumulate as many reps as possible.

The Strongmen will lift the 186-kg (410-lb) Odd Haugen stone; the Strongwomen will lift the 117-kg (258-lb) Steve Jeck/Bill Crawford stone
Event Four — The Stone Drag
Day two will kick off with an unusual event. The athletes will first carry the stones for a set distance, with men taking on the Dinnie Stones (combined weight of 332.5-kg / 733-lb), while the women carry the Jeck Stones (combined weight of 193-kg / 425.8-lb). The athletes will then load the stones onto a sled, which they will proceed to pull for an undisclosed distance. The goal will be to finish the event in the shortest time possible.
Event Five — Austrian / American Oak
The penultimate event of the 2026 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Classic will be the Log Lift. So, the men will be lifting the Austrian Oak, while the women will overhead press the American Oak. The weights of the implements were not revealed, but both were seen in past editions of the competition, where they weighed 195 kilograms (429.9 pounds) and 122 kilograms (270 pounds), respectively.
Event Six — Ramp Rage
For the final event of the competition, the athletes will have to carry three sandbags up a ramp. It will be a timed event, putting the focus on speed and making it a true race. It is important to note that the ramp will be inclined, making the task even more difficult for the competitors. So, it will be a perfect event to wrap up the show.
Hafthor Bjornsson, Tom Stoltman, and Luke Richardson have withdrawn from the 2026 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Classic, which has definitely been a massive loss for the competition. However, the roster remains filled with world-class athletes and now that the events have officially been revealed, the excitement for the competition continues to increase. Both Mitchell Hooper and Inez Carrasquillo will come back in an attempt to defend their titles.
