The Matchup

As is the tradition in the announcement ceremonies for the CrossFit Open, the organizers invited three of the world’s fittest women to be the first ones to perform Workout 26.2. Specifically, participants of the matchup are Lucy Campbell, Mirjam von Rohr, and Aimee Cringle.

Mirjam von Rohr is one of the most successful CrossFitters ever when it comes to the Open stage, as she has been the overall Open champion in 2024 and 2025. Moreover, Mirjam has also won Workout 26.1 of the 2026 CrossFit Open, which goes to show why she was one of the biggest favorites to top the Workout 26.2 leaderboards as well.

Lucy Campbell was one of the most impressive athletes in 2025, and her second place from the CrossFit Games proves it. So, seeing that last year’s winner, Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr, is pregnant, Lucy will certainly hope to claim the title of Fittest Woman On Earth. Her first obstacle was Workout 26.2, where she went up against other elite CrossFitters.

Aimee Cringle has been a regular on the CrossFit pro scene for the past two years, having finished in 13th place at the 2024 CrossFit Games and eighth at the 2025 Games. So, having proved that she is capable of going up against the best in the world, Aimee got a spot in the Workout 26.2 announcement.

  • First-Place: Lucy Campbell
  • Second-Place: Aimee Cringle
  • Third-Place: Mirjam von Rohr

Lucy Campbell was in second place throughout the majority of Workout 26.2 but ended up clutching the victory in the final moments. Her experience and strategic approach proved to be just enough to beat Rohr and Cringle.

Aimee Cringle was seemingly out of the race for the win in the first half of the event, but she pulled off an impressive comeback and even broke through to first place at one point. However, she ultimately dropped to second place following Lucy’s incredible performance.

Mirjam von Rohr had the fastest start, accumulating a very significant lead within the first few minutes. However, she was then given a no-rep, which cost her a lot of time. Rohr still had a chance to win but was unable to hold the lead on the ring muscle ups.
