Floyd Mayweather has made a lot of noise over the past couple of weeks, dropping hints about a possible move to MMA. While the mere idea of it is absurd for many, UFC president Dana White says it is the only sensible move to make, if they were to set up a rematch against Conor McGregor.

Another idea that also been floating around was a possible fight against CM Punk. The former WWE star, who would have a significant size advantage, is a big enough name but isn’t the same threat as many on the UFC roster.
Jeff Mayweather is the uncle of Floyd Mayweather, who has been teasing a potential fight inside of the Octagon in recent weeks.

Floyd’s uncle believes that if he were to step into the Octagon, a whooping may be delivered to former pro wrestler turned MMA fighter CM Punk.
“I don’t know who that is, but we might actually whoop his (CM Punk) ass first,” Jeff told Jody Kohn.
Punk is rumored to be returning to action in a few months at UFC 225 and his opponent is expected to be Mike Jackson.
Uncle Jeff also believes that Floyd would have a shot to defeat UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor in the UFC, as long as the legendary boxer doesn’t get taken down during the encounter.
“If Floyd uses his legs – and I’m talking about to f—king dance around (and move), ain’t no f—king running around,” he said. “This is part of boxing, (and) MMA fighters do it too. But they can’t do it as well as him, and that’s the difference. As long as he does that, he gives himself a chance. He gives himself a chance because he keeps it within striking distance. But if Floyd gets taken down, the fight’s gonna be over.”

Although Punk and Mayweather may never fight against each other in the UFC, both of them did compete at WWE Wrestlemania 24. Punk would win the Money In The Bank Match on that night, while Mayweather defeated the Big Show.
