After a successful and exciting first week of the CrossFit Open, which concluded with its first workout, now comes the release of the 2023 CrossFit Open Workout 23.2. In keeping with a long-standing tradition, the CrossFit Open Workout 23.2 was revealed live from Midland Park in New Jersey on February 23rd.
As soon as the 2023 CrossFit Open Workout 23.2 is revealed, two world-class athletes demonstrated it by dueling with one another. In fact, the two men are arguably in the greatest shape right now, as Roman Khrennikov won the 23.1 Workout, with his rival, Patrick Vellner placing third.
The result submissions for the 2023 CrossFit Open Workout 23.2 are due until Monday, February 27th, 2023. Shortly after that, the results will be confirmed and the placings will be revealed.

The Duel
Contrary to the reveal of the 23.1 workout, the 2023 CrossFit Open Workout 23.2 featured only one duel between two men. However, during the reveal of the third workout next week, we will see two women take part in the duel.
Roman Khrennikov has been amongst the greatest athletes during the past few years, but is still consistently improving with each season. So, it is no surprise that his greatest performance came in 2022. During the most recent season, Roman won the Asian region Quarterfinals, the Far East Throwdown Semifinal, and placed second in the CrossFit Games, only behind Justin Medeiros. However, Roman has already started this year better, winning the first workout of the Open and hoping to do the same in the 23.2 as well.
Meanwhile, Patrick Vellner, despite not becoming the Fittest Man on Earth yet, has already competed in seven CrossFit Games. In addition, Patrick has stood on the podium four times, getting silver in 2018 and 2021, while he earned bronze in 2016 and 2017.
