After two girls made a mockery of a guy working out, their video went viral but for all the wrong reasons. In a recent TikTok, the women – @fit.berna and @fitmitdebbs have been scrutinized after sharing a video titled, ‘Copying the weird man in the corner of the gym.’
“I recently made a video about these two girls that were bullying and mocking a guy at the gym who was just trying to work out. They sent me a DM telling me to take down the video.”
This clip, which has spread like wildfire in TikTok fitness and bodybuilding communities, features two women at the gym who began to mimic a man’s workout, which appeared to be a movement to increase hip mobility and/or flexibility.
During the video, both TikTokers fall to the floor hysterically laughing after making light of the man’s fitness routine, with some fans online claiming they crossed the line. In some instances, onlookers found the video to be inappropriate and an act of bullying. After the fan backlash, Berna and Debbs made their TikTok and Instagram accounts private.
Female TikTokers Shamed By Fitness Community After Mocking Man During Workout At Gym
Noah Bermudez is a TikToker who was one of the many voices to call attention to their wrongdoings. According to Bermudez, Berna and Debbs have been kicked out of their local gym as a result of the disrespectful encounter.
“The good news is, this guy sent me a DM and his colleague who is a manager of the gym has kicked them out,” Noah shared.

Furthermore, Noah revealed that one of the TikTokers contacted him as well, explaining that the whole incident was a “misunderstanding.” She explained that they weren’t making fun of the man’s exercises but did admit to playfully copying his workout.
In addition to those comments, Noah offered additional insight into their conversation:
“It was never meant to mock or make fun of him.
“We followed his routine and laughed while doing it, unfortunately many misunderstood the video so we took it down …”
While neither of the TikTokers have offered to make statements on the matter or public apologies, they assured Noah that they feel remorse for the situation and will address the issue in due time, emphasizing,
“We’re willing to make a statement explaining our intent. We do not support bullying. Bullying is terrible,” the message read.

Check out what fans had to say about the ordeal:
This is far from the first viral blow-up on TikTok related to rude gym encounters. Joey Swoll, who is known in the fitness community for calling out poor gym etiquette, continues to push for more welcoming environments at fitness centers. His movement even got the attention of former seven-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Gym positivity and fitness content have grown tremendously as of late. People are buzzing about a trend where folks are exposing awkward gym moments, which has only made things more difficult for those who are simply looking to work out.
Thus far, hashtags like #GymCreep and #GymWeirdo have blown up online, racking up a whopping 100 million views on the video-streaming platform. Hopefully, in time, the TikTokers decide to come forward and apologize for their actions.
