Austin Hatfield stood on top of the men’s podium at the 2025 Mayhem Classic CrossFit Semifinal, having put up a phenomenal performance. He kicked off the competition with a win in event one but managed to secure another first-place finish in the third event later on. Apart from that, Austin never placed lower than sixth, leaving barely any room for anyone to catch up to him.
The winner of the 2025 CrossFit Open, Colten Mertens, was putting pressure on Austin Hatfield throughout the entire competition. However, he placed 11th on the fourth event, allowing Austin to get a significant lead. Regardless of that, Colten still finished in second place, securing his spot at the CrossFit Games. Both Hatfield and Mertens beat a number of elite athletes, including the reigning Fittest Man on Earth, James Sprague.

Abigail Domit also had 400 points, which placed her in a tiebreaker against Saghafi. Both women had one event win to their name, but Feeroozeh also had a second-place finish in the first event, while Domit’s next best finish was 3rd in the final workout. So, Domit had to settle for second place overall. She still walked away happy, having qualified for the Games as well.
