Day One

Event One — Axle Press

The first challenge of the 2025 Shaw Classic was the Axle Press. The goal of the event was to complete as many reps as possible in the 60 seconds that were allocated to each athlete. The men’s Axle weighed 335 pounds (152 kilograms), while the women lifted 205 pounds (93 kilograms)

Ben Glasscock and Zach Price both achieved an identical amount of reps, lifting the massive axle five times before the time limit ran out. So, they shared the top spot, as well as the points that came with it. Other athletes were not far behind, but the fifth repetition really made a difference for Glasscock and Price.

Jennifer Lyle was the standout performer among the women, locking out seven incredible repetitions to take the event win. Her upper body strength was simply amazing, but the endurance that she displayed over the course of one minute was also immensely impressive.

The second event of the 2025 Shaw Classic was the Frame Carry. So, it was firstly a test of grip strength, with men carrying 775 pounds (351.5 kilograms) and women taking on a 525-pound (238-kilogram) implement. The distance they had to cover came out to 100 feet in total. Being a timed event, the goal was to finish as quickly as possible.

Connor Hunt was one of only two athletes in the Men’s Open division who managed to complete the entire event. He did so in a time of 38.71 seconds, winning the event and climbing up the leaderboards. The other competitors dropped the frame before reaching the finish line.

The situation was much different on the women’s side, as multiple women finished the event. So, it came down to who had the quickest time. That ended up being Jackie Osczevski, who emerged victorious with a time of 19.18 seconds.

Moving on to the third event of the 2025 Shaw Classic, the athletes had to complete multiple exercises in order to reach the end. They started off by carrying and loading two heavy sandbags and were only allowed to advance to the final portion, an implement drag, once that was done.

Ben Glasscock was the quickest man in the Load & Drag event, completing all three tasks in just 35.75 seconds. This marked his second event win in one day, showing that he was determined to claim the title.

Erin Murray was the quickest in the women’s field, crossing the finish line in 40.35 seconds. She narrowly beat Nancy Johnson, who finished just 1.3 seconds after her. Erin saved valuable time on impressively quick transitions and thus secured an event win.

Day Two

Event Four — Max Log Lift

The fourth event was all about raw overhead pressing power, with athletes having multiple attempts to achieve a one-rep max on the Log Lift. The weight of the log gradually increased with each round, meaning that the last man/woman standing took the event win.

Zach Price demonstrated mind-blowing strength on the Log Lift and was the only man who exceeded the 400-pound (181.4-kilogram) milestone. So, he grabbed a convincing event win, with the next best lifter achieving 30 pounds (13.6 kilograms) less than him.

The battle for first place in the women’s division turned out to be much more unpredictable, since a number of athletes achieved massive lifts in their pursuit for first place. The winning number came out to 260 pounds (117.9 kilograms), but it was achieved by two women, Jennifer Lyle and Kira Wrixon. So, they shared the top spot, as neither managed to lift more weight to break the tie.

Men’s Results

  • Zach Price — 410 pounds
  • Ben Glasscock — 380 pounds
  • Quinten Holley — 380 pounds
  • Seth Soukup — 380 pounds
  • Josh Gregory — 360 pounds
  • Alex Kelley — 360 pounds
  • Fredrik Johansson — 340 pounds
  • Beau Bathery — 340 pounds
  • Connor Hunt — 320 pounds
  • Jon Furrh — Withdrew

  • Nichole Wight — 200 pounds
  • Cheyenne Ruiz — 160 pounds

Event Five — Yoke & Arm-Over-Arm Medley

The 2025 Shaw Classic featured a medley for its fifth event. It was basically a Yoke Carry into an Arm-Over-Arm pull, slightly similar to what was seen at the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth. The weight of the Yoke was 1,000 pounds (453.6 kilograms) for men and 600 pounds (272.2 kilograms) for women. The distance they had to cover came out to 50 feet. On the other hand, the weight of the arm-over-arm rope pull was unclear.

Following a relatively short and intense race, Seth Soukup was pronounced the event winner. He needed just 46.31 seconds to complete the Yoke Carry and Arm-Over-Arm, showing that he possesses great speed and grip strength. This turned out to be his best event performance of the weekend.

Jackie Osczevski found herself in first place once again after beating some rapid athletes in the Medley event. Her time came out to 25.41 seconds, which was over three seconds quicker than the score achieved by the next fastest woman.

Men’s Results

Day Three

Event Six — Deadlift

As the 2025 Shaw Classic was nearing its end, it was time for the athletes to perform one of the most iconic exercises — the Deadlift. The sole aim of the event was to perform as many reps as possible within the 75-second time limit. The men’s deadlift was set to 725 pounds (328.9 kilograms), while the women pulled 450 pounds (204.1 kilograms). They were allowed to use lifting straps.

Although there were a lot of exceptional deadlifts in the field, none could match Fredrik Johansson’s effort. He was the only man who reached double digits, with his official score coming out to 11 repetitions. This pulled him back in contention for the podium and was one of the key moments of the weekend.

The women’s division competitors had a higher average of reps on the deadlift, with Jennifer Lyle having the most. She locked out 15 repetitions, which goes to show how strong and resilient she is. Jackie Rhodes finished in second place with three reps less.

  • Jackie Rhodes — 12 reps
  • Erin Murray — 11 reps
  • Kira Wrixon — 11 reps
  • Nancy Johnson — 9 reps
  • Rebecca Houston — 8 reps
  • Jackie Osczevski — 7 reps
  • Nichole Wight — 6 reps
  • Trisha Mank — 1 rep
  • Cheyenne Ruiz — No Lift

Event Seven — Atlas Stones

The 2025 Shaw Classic closed out with the Atlas Stones. It consisted of five implements, all of which had to be lifted and loaded onto the 4-foot platform. The men’s stones ranged from 350-lb (158.8-kg) to 450-lb (204.1-kg). The women’s set of stones started at 225-lb (102-kg) and ended at 325-lb (147.4-kg).

Fredrik Johansson won the second event in a row and completed a comeback of dreams. He had a rough start to the competition but officially claimed the bronze medal overall after a spectacular performance on the atlas stones. He was one of the few who managed to finish the event and was also the quickest to do so.

Jackie Osczevski won her third event of the weekend to wrap up the 2025 Shaw Classic. No one completed the entire event in the women’s division, but Jackie’s time of 23.31 seconds was the quickest out of those who lifted four stones. So, she finished up in first place.
