Events Breakdown

The qualifiers of the 2026 World’s Strongest Man competition will start off with a complex movement event, as the athletes will first have to carry heavy farmer’s implements for an unknown distance before proceeding to perform the power stairs. The second event will push the athletes to lift a number of implements of varying weights above their heads. On the other hand, the third event sees the return of the squat for reps, which will undoubtedly excite many fans and athletes.

The fourth event of the qualifiers will be another Strongman classic, since athletes will be tasked with pulling a massive truck to the finish line. Lastly, the qualifiers will wrap up with the Natural Stone medley. So, the ‘Stone-Off’ is absent from the event list once again.

For those who make it through to the finals of the 2026 World’s Strongest Man, the first challenge will be the ‘Knaack’ Medley. It is unclear exactly what it could be, since it often features unique and custom-made equipment. They will then move on to the Log Lift for max weight, which will be a true display of upper-body strength.

The Titan’s Toss will be the third event in the 2026 World’s Strongest Man finals. It is expected to be a repeat of last year’s event, which would mean that the athletes have to perform multiple implement tosses over a bar, with each throw being further away from the construction. So, while the height will not increase, the altered trajectory of the throw makes the event much more complicated.

The deadlift has found its place at the 2026 World’s Strongest Man finals as well. Specifically, the goal will be to lock out as many reps as possible within the given time limit. As expected, the Atlas Stones will be the final event of the competition. The format is not expected to change, meaning that the athletes will have to lift a series of heavy stones off the floor and place them onto their respective platforms.
