Eddie Hall vs. Tommy Fury will certainly be one of the biggest and most interesting boxing matches of the year, as the former World’s Strongest Man will take on a more experienced fighter and Love Island star. Well, with the match approaching, the men just had their first official face-off on April 7th in London, which turned out to be quite intense.
Although Eddie Hall and Tommy Fury have had friendly interactions in the past, they recently got into some confrontation. Eddie reportedly exchanged some unpleasant words with Tommy’s father, John Fury, which resulted in the upcoming boxing match. However, their face-off shows a massive size difference between the two, with Hall towering over his opponent weeks ahead of their match on June 13th in Manchester.
Tommy Fury is not a small man at all, but Eddie Hall still has a very significant edge in this regard. The expected weight difference between the two is estimated to be greater than 100 pounds (45.4 kilograms), with Hall recently sharing a mind-blowing 346.1-pound (157-kilogram) physique update.
The face-off also showcased a slight height difference between Hall and Fury, as the decorated Strongman stands about two inches taller than his opponent. It is important to note that the two men held intense eye contact even before the face-off, trying to assert dominance during their press conference. It spilled over to the face-off, where they stood nearly motionless, trying to get into each other’s head.

Although the fight was caused by Eddie’s interaction with Tommy Fury’s father, John was not present in the press conference in London. However, he is expected to be a part of the build-up as the fight gets closer. The conference still revealed a lot about the fight, as Eddie referred to Tommy as a ‘sacrificial lamb’. He did, however, praise Tommy for his experience, speed, iq, and other aspects important for boxing. Consequently, Eddie has a simple plan that involves landing a big shot at one point in the match.
“I’m honestly flabbergasted. I wasn’t expecting a fight with Tommy to be offered. If I am being honest, I was after something else, but if John wants to put his youngest son as a sacrifice, like a sacrificial lamb, so be it. Let’s do it…
John Fury is a big bully of a man. He is used to head-butting midgets, slapping doors, and whatever. When he comes up against someone his own size, he pu**ies out…
All I can say is my plan is to land that big shot, and whether that comes in the first round or the sixth round, I’m not going to be an idiot and come out all guns blazing, but I’ll be ready. I’ll be ready for when that shot appears and I’ll take it.” said Eddie Hall.
Tommy Fury responded to Hall, saying that he grew up around heavyweights, including his brother, Tyson Fury, the 2x Heavyweight Champion of the World. As such, he reiterated that Hall’s size makes no difference to him. Fury is also taking everything personal, since Eddie has insulted his father on multiple occasions.
“I’m going to show Eddie on June 13th that size doesn’t matter… Eddie has got muscles all over his body, but you can’t put muscles on chins. That is what I’m about to expose. We have seen good big men in the ring all the time, but what’s different is the muscles can’t get on the chin, and I’m looking to find that chin.
I’m super fit now, and I have nine weeks to go. I have been doing half marathons; Hyrox I’ve done the other day. I am supremely fit, and I’ll be ready to dance around that ring and seek and destroy for however long that fight lasts,” said Tommy Fury.
