If you are not familiar with the name Gabrielle Santarosa, then you may want to change that. She hit a strong squat recently that did a great job proving that she is likely going places in the sport of powerlifting.
It has not even been a full year since Gabrielle had her first powerlifting meet. However she has quickly blown up in popularity among the fitness community, for her unbelievable physical transformation. Not to mention that she seems to have the talent to turn into a real force in the 67kg division.
This talent was displayed in a big way with a recent Instagram post from Gabrielle Santarosa. She took to her social media to share a video from one of her intense squat sessions. The lift that she particularly shares was an impressive 375lb squat single, while at a bodyweight of 144.6lb.
“Hate the weak 😤
375lb single moved extremely well today considering I woke up at a low of 144.6lb and have been in a fair deficit for a while. My body is adapting well to carbs first thing in the morning and pre & post workout. Timing of nutrition, sodium intake and water is key, don’t get it twisted! I’m slowly shrinking but strength is staying and tbh guys, this is the most comfortable I’ve felt in a super long time.”

At only 23 years of age, it is clear that Santarosa is rapidly improving. Like most of us, she was struggling a bit because of the global health crisis. Nevertheless she is building back up her strength and getting back to the place she was before not being able to go to the gym. Here she is, in one of her first sessions back, taking 355lb for a ride.
You can easily see that Gabrielle Santarosa was a bit rusty going for this lift. Regardless she has brushed that dust off, and is back to regular training. Now it is a matter of time before we see her taking things to the next level.
