Larry Wheels has achieved a lot in his life through multiple sports, including powerlifting, arm wrestling, and more. However, his main focus for quite a while now has been bodybuilding, especially the Classic Physique division, which made a great impression on him. So, after putting in a lot of hard work, Larry took part in the 2023 Amateur Olympia, looking more shredded than ever. However, in the five days following the competition, Larry gained 53 pounds of bodyweight.
Larry Wheels posted a YouTube video on November 5th, where he wanted to share his experience from competing in Classic Physique. However, he focused more on how he felt after the competition, the food he ate, and the 53 pounds of bodyweight that he managed to gain.

Larry Wheels’ 53-lb Bodyweight Gain
Larry Wheels immediately addressed the weight gain at the beginning of the video. Larry Wheels also revealed that he used diuretics to dry out his physique and get more shredded for his appearance. However, seeing how he took part in two competitions in just three days, 2023 NPC Ultimate Warriors and 2023 Amateur Olympia, he had to peak twice in a very short timeframe. So, it was obvious that he would gain some weight back.
“This was my first time getting fully depleted for a show. I did use diuretics to make weight for the show and to have that dry and hard look on the stage. I had to use them twice within a three day period.”
Larry Wheels also talked about the insane amounts of food that he ate shortly after the competition. So, Larry first made his way to Five Guys, his favorite burger place, and started off with two bacon double cheeseburgers.
“Then, I went home, still starving, my stomach already engorged and stretching and uncomfortable.”
Since he was still feeling hungry, Larry Wheels went to a steakhouse just hours after the first meal. There he ate a 16-ounce ribeye steak with a side of sweet potato mash. Once he got home, Larry still had room for more, so he ate an entire bag of pop tarts. Even after all that, Larry indulged in some more eating.
“I went downstairs, stomach even more stretched out, and had a couple of noodles. Went to bed on an absolutely full stomach, and slept like a baby. I take that back, I was tossing and turning all through the night. Stomach had absolute knots.”
Despite struggling all night, Larry Wheels continued eating at the same pace the next day. So, his breakfast consisted of cinnamon rolls, pancakes, bacon, hash browns, some eggs, cereal, and orange juice.
For lunch Larry ate a burger and a huge 1,500-calorie cookie. Then, following some collaborations, Wheels took on a fried chicken sandwich, six wings and three chicken tenders, two orders of fries, chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. By the end of the day, Larry also ate a 14-inch pizza.
“I’m serious when I say that I had about 20,000 calories in the 24-hour period. So, right now you are seeing the most bloated version of Larry Wheels to ever have existed and walk this earth.
Larry Wheels then displayed his current physique through some posing, where it was clear to see how much water retention he has. For this reason, Larry will eat fewer calories overall and reduce sodium intake to lose excess water.
“I have to eat clean… Take some aspirin and take my blood pressure… I need to get rid of all this water weight and feel normal… I am going to try the natural route, definitely no diuretics… I’ve had my fun, lots of it.”
Conclusion
Below is Larry Wheels’ bodyweight across the five days. It proves that the majority of his weight gain came in the two days after the 2023 Amateur Olympia.
- Monday (Amateur Olympia Weigh-In): 231.4 pounds
- Wednesday (Show Day): 238 pounds
- Saturday: 284 pounds
