Sam Sulek is an up-and-coming bodybuilder who has gained a huge following across multiple social media platforms. His unconventional ways of eating and suspected steroid use have people up and arms about how they feel about him. In a recent YouTube video, Samson Dauda shared his thoughts on Sulek and praised him for being a humble and respectable young adult.
What started out as an aspiring fitness journey has quickly turned Sam Sulek into a social media sensation, thanks to his jacked physique and impressive muscularity. It’s not just fans who have discussed Sulek as bodybuilders have also taken notice of the fitness star with differing opinions.
Five-time Classic Physique champion Chris Bumstead has acknowledged his incredible pull in the industry claiming he is ‘taking over the world’ and shared that he could retire and hand things over to Sam Sulek eventually. Meanwhile, retired bodybuilder Lee Priest has also come to Sulek’s defense, shutting down haters who look down on his less-than-pristine eating habits.
Lee Priest even went as far as calling out Nick Trigili reminding him of his questionable choices when he was younger. Priest compared his younger self to Sulek, highlighting that he made unpopular nutritional choices back when he was in the prime of his respective career.
Samson Dauda Talks ‘The New Generation’ Sam Sulek and His Fame
Sam Sulek has gotten the opportunity to train in the gym next to the number three bodybuilder in the world, Samson Dauda. Dauda also won the 2023 Arnold Classic earlier this year reinforcing his dominance as a Men’s Open competitor.
In a recent YouTube video, Samson Dauda discussed how Sam Sulek is the pioneer for the new generation, who might find the Open class too “extreme.”

“It’s a new generation man. You know, they relate to it. You gotta understand that we’re hardcore bodybuilders. We came into the world for true bodybuilding, we came into it looking at great bodybuilders that have done it and we’re like okay, yeah that’s what we want to do, we want to achieve the crazy physique and everything else.”
“We came into that, so we went to the gym through that, that was our vision. But you know, the new generation of kids coming up they don’t have that, they have social media.
So when you have a kid that represents them that they are into the gym but they don’t understand, they didn’t follow the bodybuilding, the extreme, they only follow that [Sam Sulek].”
Dauda went on to emphasize the differences in a physique like his versus Sulek’s.

“He’s part of their circle. A guy like me, I’m just way too extreme and it’s almost like oh this is unachievable, it’s just way out there.
But a kid that is literally more in their age group, he’s more from their circle, he’s more from that part of life, you’re going to have a lot of people flock to that.”
Dauda was taken aback by the droves of people who were present to see Sam Sulek when they were out together.
“Dude it was the whole fucking street man. It was like dude, for blocks and blocks and blocks.”
“Honestly, you just gotta look at it and smile. You don’t go anywhere with him without people asking for photos. It don’t matter where you are, Walmart, whatever, he’s just like yeah, okay, yeah, that is it” Samson said.
Though Sulek has become a celebrity in the fitness industry, Dauda stressed how incredibly humble he remains.
“That’s just all it is now,” said Dauda. “Oh man. Massively, [he deserves credit]. Dude, the best part about it is how much of a humble young kid he is with everything that you see with that, he’s as grounded as you can get.”
“This is the scary part because I remember meeting him in Pittsburgh, it’s like man, he just wants to train. He’s like look can we just go train and he’s just so grounded and cool about it.”
In addition, “The Nigerian Lion” gave Sulek props for how he conducts himself.
“He’s just so laid back about it. Damn, to be able to hold yourself, hold your composure, hold that dignity and that humbleness even in the midst of this, you gotta give him props. A lot of people would very easily that would have gone way to their head.”
Samson Dauda highlights that Sam Sulek is just a young adult who is pursuing what makes him happy.
“When you see just a kid that loves to lift, and all he does is just shows what he loves. So how can you not be like props to you man.”
“He’s still in school, he’s still, he doesn’t drive any nice car, he’s just chilling doing his thing. He’s like, you know, he keeps his head on straight. Man, you know what, dude, I get it.”
This is far from the first bodybuilder to give their thoughts on Sam Sulek. Aside from those mentioned above, Nick Walker has given his verdict on the budding bodybuilding influencer. He worries Sam Sulek may be sending the wrong message to younger audiences by giving off the impression that they could attain his physique with a similar lifestyle.
In response to these concerns, Sam Sulek responded, underlining that fans should always take his advice related to anything ‘with a grain of salt.’ While some have taken issue with Sulek, that certainly isn’t the case for Samson Dauda, who couldn’t praise the influencer enough for his humble attitude and passion for bodybuilding.
