About Strongman Contest Series

Strongman competitions are organized into contest series run by different federations and promoters. The most prestigious series include:

  • World's Strongest Man (WSM) - The original and most recognized strongman competition, running since 1977. Features qualification rounds and a finals held at various worldwide locations.
  • Arnold Strongman Classic - Held annually at the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio. Known for extremely heavy events and an invitation-only format for the world's best.
  • Giants Live - The official qualifying tour for World's Strongest Man. Hosts events across the UK and Europe.
  • Strongman Champions League (SCL) - A European-based series with competitions across multiple countries throughout the year.
  • World's Ultimate Strongman (WUS) - A newer series featuring high-profile athletes in spectacle-format events.
