Check My LevelAbout Strongman Strength Standards
Our strength standards are the world's first classification system designed specifically for strongman athletes. Unlike powerlifting standards that only cover squat, bench, and deadlift, these standards cover all 10 major strongman events: Atlas Stones, Log Press, Axle Press, Deadlift, Car Deadlift, Yoke Walk, Farmer's Walk, Sandbag Loading, Keg Toss, and Tire Flip.
How Standards Are Determined
Standards are calibrated using competition data from over 2,000 strongman contests, combined with known professional benchmarks from World's Strongest Man, Arnold Strongman Classic, and Strongman Corp national competitions. Weight classes follow the Strongman Corp classification system.
The Five Levels

Intermediate: 1-3 years of consistent training. Competitive at local and regional shows.
Advanced: 3-5+ years. Competitive at national level and approaching professional qualifying totals.

Frequently Asked Questions
Standards are based on analysis of over 2,000 strongman competitions, cross-referenced with known professional results from WSM, Arnold Strongman Classic, and national-level competitions. They represent realistic benchmarks for each level of experience.
We use Strongman Corp weight classes: Men's 80 kg, 90 kg, 105 kg, 120 kg, and 120+ kg. Women's 57 kg, 64 kg, 73 kg, 82 kg, and 82+ kg. If your bodyweight falls between classes, we use the nearest class above your weight.
Yes. The Beginner through Advanced levels are absolutely achievable for natural athletes. The Elite level represents professional-caliber performances, which in the open divisions often include enhanced athletes. In tested federations, top natural athletes typically reach the high end of the Advanced level.
Strongman events use specialized implements (logs, stones, axles, yokes) that change the biomechanics significantly compared to standard barbell lifts. A 200 kg barbell press does not equal a 200 kg log press. Additionally, strongman events include moving events (yoke, farmers walk) and loading events (stones, sandbags) that have no powerlifting equivalent.
Go to the Check My Level page, select your gender, enter your bodyweight, then enter your best performance for any of the 10 events. The tool instantly calculates your level for each event and provides an overall strength assessment.
All standards are stored in kilograms but can be displayed in either metric (kg) or imperial (lbs) using the unit toggle in the navigation bar. Switch between units at any time and all values update instantly.
