The 2021 Battle in the Desert went down July 17th, in Bakersfield, California. Here the complete results of this bodybuilding event and qualifier for the 2021 Mr. Olympia.
Taking place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bakersfield, the Battle in the Desert is one of the smaller pro shows that takes place this year. However with an invitation to the 2021 Mr. Olympia on the line, it was worth checking into to see which Bikini athlete will step on stage this October, in Orlando, Florida.
On top of that, this show was valuable to those looking to scout out the next potential star in the sport. While the Bikini Division was the only IFBB Pro category represented here, there was a lot of NPC action to sink your teeth into.
With contests in the Bikini, Figure, Fitness, Men’s and Women’s Physique, Classic Physique, Men’s Bodybuilding and Wellness divisions, there was a constant stream of bodybuilding on stage at the Battle in the Desert. From here, those with intimate knowledge of the sport may be able to point to a future contender.
That said, the biggest draw clearly came from the Pro Bikini division. With this being one of the most vastly represented divisions in the entire sport, there are a limited amount of slots available for the Olympia, and we got to see one more invitation handed out at this west coast event.
