The 2023 CrossFit Teams Quarterfinals took place on March 29-31, in an online format, which proved to be a highly competitive event. The Quartefinals were the first time this season that the four-member teams stepped out to compete, which made it a crucial point in the season’s development. Based on the unofficial results, it seems that CrossFit East Nashville PRVN and CrossFit Invictus are tied for the top spot.
The 2023 CrossFit Teams Quarterfinals consisted of four tests, one of which was divided into parts A & B. The point system was made to reward the first place team in each event with one point, the second place team with two points, and so forth. So, the goal was to accumulate the least number of points possible throughout the four tests. In the end, tCrossFit East Nashville PRVN took first place with 15 points, while CrossFit Invictus took second with 16 points. Following them closely and claiming the third place spot was CrossFit Torian Mayhem with 24 points.

As we have seen in previous years, good individual athletes don’t necessarily also make for a good team. Instead, they can even be outperformed by a team of less prepared individuals who have better coordination and spirit as a unity. Luckily for us, this year’s CrossFit teams field seems to be exceptionally great in both aspects of physical fitness and teamwork.
