Event Two — Farmer’s Walk & Yoke Medley

The second event of the 2024 Russia’s Strongest Man consisted of two exercises. Firstly, the athletes had to lift a 400-kilogram (881.8-pound) Yoke and carry it for a distance of 20 meters. Once that was done, they moved on to the next challenge, which was to carry a pair of 150-kilogram (330.7-pound) Farmer’s implements for another 20 meters. The goal was to finish the event in the shortest time possible.

Alexander Klokov was the only man that managed to finish the event in under half a minute, thus topping the leaderboards and taking the event win. His final time came out to 27.74 seconds, which was significantly faster than anyone else achieved.

Dmitrii Skosyrskii followed up his win from the first event with another impressive second-place finish in the medley. He was six seconds slower than Klokov, but, on the other hand, nearly ten seconds quicker than the third-place finisher.

  • Alexander Klokov — 27.74 seconds
  • Dmitrii Skosyrskii — 33.87 seconds
  • Valentin Akimov — 43.34 seconds
  • Konstantin Koldunov — 56.06 seconds
  • Roman Druzhinin — 66.47 seconds
  • Petr Martynenko — 86.09 seconds
  • Egor Sorokoletov — 25 meters

Event Three — Truck Pull

The third event of the competition was Truck Pull, which proved to be much more difficult than expected. The athletes were strapped to a 22,000-kilogram (48,501-pound) vehicle, which they then had to pull for a distance of 20 meters. With a 60-second time limit, the athletes had to rush to cross the finish line.

Some of the athletes did not manage to complete the entire event, but of those that did, Alexander Klokov was the fastest. He ended with a time of 51.06 seconds, marginally outperforming his rivals. Consequently, he took his second event win of the day.

The second-place went to Valentin Akimov, who finished the Truck Pull in 53.62 seconds. Konstantin Koldunov finished another four seconds behind Akimov and rounded up the top three.

  • Alexander Klokov — 51.06 seconds
  • Valentin Akimov — 53.62 seconds
  • Konstantin Koldunov — 57.62 seconds
  • Dmitrii Skosyrskii — 58.00 seconds
  • Egor Sorokoletov — 58.22 seconds
  • Petr Martynenko — 17 meters
  • Dmitrii Samoilov — 10 meters
  • Roman Druzhinin — No Lift
  • Evgeny Gavrilenko — No Lift
  • Konstantin Klimash — Withdrew
  • Yuri Kapustin — Withdrew

Event Four — Conan’s Wheel

The second-to-last event of 2024 Russia’s Strongest Man was a pain-inducing one, to say the least. Namely, the athletes performed the Conan’s Wheel, where they had to carry a load of 255 kilograms (562.2 pounds) while using a technique similar to a Zercher Carry. The goal was to cross as much distance as possible.

Dmitrii Skosyrskii added another victory to his name and secured an overall lead going into the final event. He crossed 19 sectors, showing that he is both physically and mentally resilient.

Valentin Akimov finished just behind Dmitrii, carrying the Conan’s Wheel for 17 sectors. Roman Druzhin was the only other athlete who crossed double digits in regard to sectors achieved.

  • Dmitrii Skosyrskii — 19 sectors
  • Valentin Akimov — 17 sectors
  • Roman Druzhinin — 14 sectors
  • Petr Martynenko — 9 sectors
  • Alexander Klokov — 8 sectors
  • Dmitrii Samoilov — 8 sectors
  • Evgeny Gavrilenko — 6 sectors
  • Konstantin Koldunov — 3 sectors
  • Egor Sorokoletov — 1 sector

Event Five — Stone Off

The final event of the 2024 Russia’s Strongest Man was a Stone Off, similar to the one seen during the qualifying portion of the World’s Strongest Man. So, only the two athletes with the highest amount of points after the first four events took part in the Stone Off, with the goal of finding out who the stronger out of the two was.

In turn, Dmitrii Skosyrskii and Alexander Klokov went head-to-head to see who of them was able to perform more reps on the 180-kilogram (396.8-pound) Atlas Stone lift. Both athletes were incredible, performing multiple rounds, lifting the stone one after the other. However, Klokov found his limit to be 8 reps, while Dmitrii Skosyrskii managed to perform 9 reps. In turn, Skosyrskii was crowned the 2024 Russia’s Strongest Man.

  • Dmitrii Skosyrskii — 9 reps
  • Alexander Klokov — 8 reps
