The 2025 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Pro/Am took place on March 1-2 in Columbus, Ohio. It featured 16 athletes across both the men’s and women’s divisions, with all of them hoping to secure the win at one of the most elite shows in the world. Ultimately, after five difficult and exciting events, Andrew Burton and Katie Blunden turned out victorious.
Andrew Burton ended up with two event wins at the 2025 Arnold Strongman Pro/Am along with a couple of consistently great performances in other events. In turn, he ended up taking the overall win with a 6-point lead over the second-place finisher. Andrew’s win at the Pro/Am comes two years after he was crowned the World’s Strongest Firefighter, showing that he is continuing to improve.
Katie Blunden’s path to victory at the 2025 Arnold Strongwoman Pro/Am was a bit more intense, as she beat Morgan Irons by just one point overall. Katie also had two event wins at the competition, along with three other high-placing finishes. This now marks her first major title, but judging from how well she performed, she is certainly destined for more success in the future.

Event Recap
Both the men’s and women’s divisions at the 2025 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Pro/Am featured the same event, with the only difference being the weight of the implements.
Event One — Max Log Lift
The 2025 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Pro/Am kicked off with the Log Lift. The format of the event tasked the athletes with performing multiple attempts until they reached their one-rep-max. In turn, the goal was to lift a heavier log than the other competitors.
Men’s Results
The Log Lift was a two-man show, as Jack Osborn and Zach Price pushed each other to the limits. They ended up being the only men to exceed 200 kilograms (440.9 pounds). Ultimately, both ended up with the heaviest successful lift of 208 kilograms (458.6 pounds), thus having to settle for a tie in first place.

Women’s Results
The women’s session on the Log Lift was no less interesting, as all eight athletes ended up moving extremely heavy weights. However, Morgan Irons ended up with the greatest lift, locking out a 122-kilogram (269-pound) implement to take the event win.
Katie Blunden and Jackie Rhodes pushed hard to place as high as possible but ended up having the identical limit. So, both women lifted a 115-kilogram (253.5-pound) log, thus sharing the second place.

Event Two — Deadlift
Having tested their upper body strength in the first event, the focus of the 2025 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Pro/Am shifted to the Deadlift in the second event. Specifically, the athletes took on the trap bar variation. The goal of the event was to complete as many reps as possible within the given time limit.
- Men’s Weight: 408-kg (900-lb)
- Women’s Weight: 254-kg (560-lb) or 208-kg (458.6-lb)
Note: The women had a choice between a lighter and a heavier deadlift. However, one rep on the heavier deadlift was valued significantly higher than the equivalent on the lighter one.
Men’s Results
March Sanchez stood out in the deadlift event, locking out eight repetitions despite pulling an incredibly heavy weight. This turned out to be the exact number of reps he needed to take the win, as Andrew Burton came just one rep short to place in second. The third place went to Raul Flores, who ended up with six reps on the deadlift.

Eight reps proved to be the winning number of reps for the woman as well, with Stevie Aligbe being the only one to reach the impressive mark. Many were close to her, but Stevie still managed to take the top spot. So, the second place went to Morgan Irons and Cherry Muchindu with one rep less than Stevie.

Event Three — Super Yoke
The third event of the 2025 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Pro/Am was all about speed while carrying huge weights. So, the athletes had to pick up a massive Super Yoke and carry it for a distance of 18 meters. The sole aim of the event was to cross the finish line in the shortest time possible.

Men’s Results
The Super Yoke turned out to be an incredible and unpredictable race, as multiple athletes were separated by just fractions of a second. However, Andrew Burton was the one who came out on top with a time of just 11.97 seconds. With this, Andrew secured some valuable points and made a giant step toward the title.
Seth Soukup was the second-fastest man in the field, crossing the line just 0.27 seconds after the event winner. Raul Flores was the next man to cross the line, doing so in a time of 13.53 seconds.

Women’s Results
Contrary to the men’s division, Katie Blunden was easily the fastest out of the Strongwomen, finishing nearly two seconds before anyone else. Her exact time came out to 11.63 seconds, earning her the maximum amount of points. So, Katie quickly became one of the favorites to win the show.
On the other hand, the battle for second place was much more tight, with three women finishing within just 0.8 seconds of each other. Jacke Osczevski turned out to be the fastest among the three, finishing in 13.35 seconds. Consequently, the third place went to Stevie Aligbe, who crossed the line in 13.83 seconds.

Event Four — Axle Press
The penultimate event of the 2025 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Pro/Am was the Axle Press. Similarly to the deadlift event, the athletes once again looked to lock out as many repetitions as possible. However, the Axle Press is recognized as an incredibly technical event and an incredible display of upper body strength.

Men’s Results
The overhead pressing event brought another clash between Zach Price and Jack Osborn. After sharing the top spot in the Log Press, Zach pushed extra hard to be the lone winner of the Axle Press. In turn, he locked out 12 incredible reps to make sure the top spot is his.
Jack Osborn also put in an incredible effort, lifting the Axle 10 times to finish in second place. He was followed by Andrew Burton and Tyler Thompson, who tied for third place with three reps each.

The women ended up with even more reps than the men, as Katie Blunden took the win with 13 incredible repetitions. Morgan Irons was not far behind, finishing just one rep behind the event winner. There was a gap between the top two and the rest, as the third place went to Aligbe and Muchindu with 9 reps each.

Event Five — Keg Load
The Keg Load event wrapped up the 2025 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Pro/Am. In this event, the athletes faced multiple kegs varying in weight. In turn, the competitors were given one task: to load the heaviest keg they could over a metal beam.
Men’s Results
Andrew Burton and Tyler Thompson found themselves in a tie once again, but this time they shared the top spot. Both of them lifted a 238-kilogram (524.7-pound) Keg, beating the remaining six athletes in the field. Balzano and Sanchez also tied for third place with a score of 227 kilograms (500.4 pounds).

Women’s Results
Jackie Rhodes was the sole winner of the final event at the 2025 Arnold Strongwoman Pro/Am. She did so by lifting a 159-kilogram (350.5-pound) keg over the beam, which was a feat that no other woman could match.
Interestingly, five of the remaining seven ended up in a tie for second place, as all of them ended up lifting a keg weighing 147 kilograms (324 pounds). However, this was enough for Katie Blunden to claim the overall title.
