The 2025 Northern California Classic was the last in-person CrossFit Semifinal competition of the season. It took place on June 6-8 in Sacramento and presented some of the most unusual event formats seen this year. Following a three-day clash between nearly a hundred athletes, William Leahy and Alex Gazan were crowned winners of the competition.

The 2025 Northern California Classic CrossFit Semifinal was a thrilling weekend full of action. However, only the top two finishers in each of the two divisions. That made the athletes push even harder, resulting in some truly incredible performances.

Men

William Leahy grabbed the first out of two qualifying spots at the 2025 Northern California Classic by winning the entire competition. Jorge Fernandez and Nate Ackermann tied for second place at the 2025 Northern California Classic CrossFit Semifinal. So, to determine who gets the ticket for the CrossFit Games, the organizers turned to the tiebreaker. Jorge ended up being the one to qualify, as he had one event win at the competition, while Ackermann did not. Gazan won two events at the competition and consistently placed near the top of the leaderboards throughout the majority of the competition. She will be making her fourth appearance at the CrossFit Games this year.
