Event One — Truck Pull

The competitors pulled a heavy vehicle over a course measuring 20 meters for the first event of the 2026 Strongman Champions League Ireland. They used raw leg drive to haul the massive load to the finish line. The goal was to move the truck as fast as possible, as the times were used to rank the athletes.

Jesper Hansson set the pace for the opening event, delivering a blistering run to take first place in the Truck Pull. He navigated the 20-meter course with immense speed and power and stopped the clock at 29.01 seconds.

Patrick Eibel secured a strong second-place finish, crossing the line in 29.98 seconds, which made him the only other competitor to finish under 30 seconds. Péter Juhász rounded out the top three with an impressive time of 30.45 seconds and put early pressure on the rest of the field.

  • Jesper Hansson — 29.01 s
  • Patrick Eibel — 29.98 s

Event Two — Car Deadlift

The second event of the 2026 Strongman Champions League Ireland was a variation of the Deadlift. It locked the athletes into a specialized deadlift frame holding a 350-kg (771.6-lb) vehicle, which they then had to pull for maximum repetitions possible. The time limit was set to 60 seconds, with the athletes being allowed to use lifting straps.

Patrick Eibel delivered a winning performance in the Car Deadlift, outpacing the field to secure the top spot. He barely had any time to rest between the reps, having lifted the car 16 times in total. So, not only did he showcase incredible strength but also remarkable endurance.

Evans Nana Aryee and Sean Gillen put up a serious fight, pushing each other to a second-place tie with 15 reps apiece. Both men put up tremendous performances but simply could not match Patrick Eibel’s near-perfect performance.

  • Patrick Eibel — 16 reps
  • Evans Nana Aryee — 15 reps
  • Sean Gillen — 15 reps
  • Oleh Pylypiak — 13 reps

  • Matthew McKeegan — 10 reps
  • Gavin McNamee — 7 reps
  • Jesper Hansson — 4 reps
  • Bradman Houston — 4 reps
  • Dillon Gartner — 3 reps
  • Péter Juhász — 2 reps

Event Three — Log Lift

For the third event, the athletes hoisted a solid 150-kg (330.7-lb) log implement from the ground to their chest, then pressed it overhead until their arms fully locked out. Each completed rep required controlled lockout before returning the log to the floor. Lifters pushed through fatigue to rack up as many reps as possible before the 60-second timer ran out.

Oleh Pylypiak dominated the Log Lift to add 12 points to his overall tally. He locked out a massive 7 reps with the 150-kg (330.7-lb) log, separating himself from the pack and proving that he is one of the strongest pressers in the world.

The battle for the remaining top spots was fiercely competitive, with Evans Nana Aryee and Gavin Bilton tying for second place by hitting 6 reps each. Luke Richardson was not far behind either, falling just one rep short of the mark set by Aryee and Bilton.

  • Oleh Pylypiak — 7 reps
  • Evans Nana Aryee — 6 reps
  • Gavin Bilton — 6 reps
  • Luke Richardson — 5 reps
  • Sean Gillen — 4 reps
  • Bradman Houston — 4 reps
  • Péter Juhász — 3 reps
  • Matthew McKeegan — 3 reps
  • Patrick Eibel — 2 reps
  • Jesper Hansson — 0 reps
  • Gavin McNamee — 0 reps

Event Four — Sandbag Loading Race

The fourth event of the 2026 Strongman Champions League Ireland was a true speed and conditioning challenge, requiring moving four separate sandbags weighing 120-kg (264.6-lb), 130-kg (286.6-lb), 140-kg (308.6-lb), and 160-kg (352.7-lb). Competitors sprinted each implement across a 10-meter distance one by one and loaded them onto a raised platform.

Jesper Hansson got back into winning form during the Sandbag Medley, blazing through the course to claim first place and his second event win of the competition. He was the only man that successfully loaded all four stones, completing the event with less than two seconds to spare. As such, Jesper secured a convincing win.

Péter Juhász edged out the rest of the field for second place by loading 3 implements and carrying the fourth one an additional 9.9 meters. This was enough to beat Matthew McKeegan, who finished third after loading 3 bags in 40.92 seconds. Evans Nana Aryee and Seaon Gillen also loaded three sandbags, but were significantly slower than McKeegan.

  • Jesper Hansson — 4 in 58.40 s
  • Péter Juhász — 3 implements + 9.9 m
  • Matthew McKeegan — 3 in 40.92 s
  • Evans Nana Aryee — 3 in 49.92 s
  • Sean Gillen — 3 in 56.54 s

Event Five — Last Man Standing Atlas Stone

Like in many other competitions, the final event of the 2026 Strongman Champions League Ireland was the Atlas Stones. However, in this instance, a unique variation of the event was seen, where athletes pushed themselves to the absolute limits, attempting to load the heaviest stone possible for as many reps as possible.

Patrick Eibel and Jesper Hansson shared the victory in the final event. Both athletes lifted the massive 230-kg (507.1-lb) stone for 3 reps over the 4-foot bar. They demonstrated exceptional technique and determination, matching each other rep-for-rep and ultimately splitting the top points in an exciting finish to the contest. As a result, Eibel was crowned the overall winner.

A three-way tie for third place saw Evans Nana Aryee, Péter Juhász, and Gavin Bilton all clear the 215-kg (474-lb) stone for 1 rep. This worked well for Aryee, as it was enough to put him in second place overall ahead of Sean Gillen.

  • Jesper Hansson — 230 kg (3 reps)
  • Patrick Eibel — 230 kg (3 reps)
  • Péter Juhász — 215 kg (1 rep)
  • Evans Nana Aryee — 215 kg (1 rep)
  • Gavin Bilton — 215 kg (1 rep)
