Phil Heath interviewed by MD’s Ron Harris
Just about 9 weeks out from the 2018 Olympia Phil Heath is in hardcore straight up Olympia prep mode right now but today I’m not sharing his latest progress pics or workouts but his recent interview with Muscular Development’s Ron Harris… and according to Ron, he waited for this interview for over 13 years.
As Olympia champion, Phil Heath is under the AMI’s (American Media Inc. is the owner of Mr. Olympia competition) contract. Under the strict AMI contract, Phil Heath was not “allowed to talk” to any other bodybuilding media outlets. Not allowing Phil to talk to other media outlets is not good for the community. Bodybuilding is a small community compared to other sports, it’s not a lifestyle that’s meant for everyone. The fans, athlete and the industry all suffer from the champions not being able to talk to other outlets.
In the interview, Phil shares his frustration about not be able to talk to other outlets and share his mind with all of his fans. It’s a very detailed interview covering different subjects including his bodybuilding career, his role in Generation Iron move, Kai Greene, Olympia prep and a lot more. In my opinion one of his best interview in recent times!
“I had some of the best times on stage with Kai [Greene].”
