Anthony Joshua vs. Alexander Povetkin results!

The undefeated boxing heavyweight king Anthony Joshua successfully defended his WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles with 7th round TKO win against Russian veteran Alexander Povetkin. With the latest win, Joshua further boosted his claim to be the biggest boxing star globally.

The 28-year-old Anthony Joshua defended his world heavyweight titles in front of 80,000 of his noisy compatriots earlier on Sat., Sept. 22, 2018, live on DAZN from inside Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Early on, the fight proved to be a close one for the Joshua but he eventually able to overcome Povetkin in the middle rounds. The 7th Round was both violent and spectacular. Joshua blasted Povetkin with a left hook followed by a right hand that put the Russian heavyweight on the canvas. Referee Steve Gray gave Povetkin every chance to beat the count and Russian boxer nearly fell through the ropes while trying to regain his feet. After stumbling back to his feet, but was dropped again with a clean three-punch combination that forced referee Steve Gray to wave off the bout without a count at 1:59 of the round.
