Schwarzenegger pays his respects to a friend and training partner.

It was a very sweet gesture from the legend himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger. He responded to Nick’s Strength and Power’s tribute video of Ed Corney after it was shared to Reddit. Anyone who has watched Pumping Iron is aware of the scenes where Schwarzenegger and Corney appeared together while training and posing.

The fact that Arnold Schwarzenegger commented about his friend and partner was touching in itself. Here is the message from Schwarzenegger regarding Corney’s passing…

Ed Corney was a jewel of a guy. He was one of the greatest posers bodybuilding has ever seen, and he was a fantastic training partner. He inspired me and I’ll miss him dearly. My thoughts are with his family.

Schwarzenegger posted some photos of his and Corney but what was very admirable was that Schwarzenegger had the best posing award at his competition (Arnold Classic) renamed the “Ed Corney Best Posing Award”.
