The competitors at the 2024 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Classics will both compete over two days, during which they will take part in five events. The first two events will take place on Friday, March 1st, while the remaining three will take place on Saturday, March 2nd.

Event Overview

First Event — Elephant Bar Deadlift

The first event of both the 2024 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Classics will be the Elephant Bar Deadlift. It has been frequently featured in past editions of these shows and has never lacked amazing moments. It is a variant of the standard deadlift, where a longer barbell is used. This adds a brand new element to the event, making it aesthetically pleasing and allowing for more weights to be moved.

Second Event — Frame Carry

The Frame Carry is another event that has been a part of previous editions of the competition and is making a return. Usually, the athletes had to carry a wooden frame across a certain course that also had an incline. The specific details (weight, length, etc.) about this event for the 2024 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Classics have not been revealed yet.

Third Event — Dinnie Stone Carry (Men) / Jeck Stone Carry (Women)

The athletes at the 2024 Arnold Strongman Classic will perform a Dinnie Stone Carry. So, they will pick up and carry a pair of stones, one in each hand. However, the stones will not be equal in weight, as the first one will come out to 188 kilograms (414.5 pounds), while the lighter one will weigh 144.5 kilograms (318.5 pounds). Their goal will be to carry the stones for the max distance possible.

On the other hand, their female counterparts in the 2024 Arnold Strongwoman Classic will have their own event with the Jeck Stones. So far, it is only clear that it will involve a carry.

Event Four — Apollon’s Wheels (Men) / Monster Dumbbell

For the penultimate event of the 2024 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Classic, the men and women will once again have separate tasks. However, the events for both divisions will revolve around shoulder strength. The men will be overhead pressing an axle-type barbell in an event called the “Apollon’s Wheels”.

On the other hand, the women will be performing their overhead press with a huge ‘Monster Dumbbell’. Contrary to men, women will be lifting their implement with just one arm.

Event Five — Stone Medley

The final event of the 2024 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Classics will be the Stone Medley. Unfortunately, the announcement did not contain details as to what the event exactly would be, but it could resemble the Atlas Stones.

Note: If any new information about the events is revealed, we will update the article accordingly.
