Joey Swoll is back to break down another wacky gym encounter. A woman has caused an uproar online after she performed her version of pistol squats provocatively. Her actions prompted a male gym-goer to berate her, pushing her phone away, and telling her that she is ‘exactly what is wrong with girls’ today.
The ‘CEO of Gym Positivity,’ Joey Swoll has used his growing online platform to change negative stigmas surrounding fitness and bodybuilding. He routinely calls out the good and the bad online, with many of his reaction videos going viral.
Swoll, who is dedicated to spreading gym positivity and making fitness more inclusive, continues to spread his message of proper gym etiquette. From downright assault to body shaming, there isn’t a scenario Swoll hasn’t seen since starting his crusade.
Joey Swoll Condemns Woman Sexualizing Workout and Man for Cursing Her Out/Touching Her Property
With boatloads of people sending Joey Swoll this clip, he was quick to render his thoughts on the situation. He found the woman and the angry male gym-goer in the wrong but for different reasons.

“A ton of people sent me this video asking me who is right, who is wrong, my answer: they are both wrong. First off, to this man, you have no right to speak to anyone that way. You don’t classify all women based off that girl and you absolutely never touch someone’s property. If you have a problem, you talk to gym management and you let them handle it.”
“But this woman is also wrong. The type of content she creates in the gym is not okay and not appropriate including this video. She tries to defend herself saying that she’s doing pistol squats and warming up. This is not a pistol squat. You knew exactly what you were doing,” said Joey Swoll.
The woman claimed that others were sexualizing her, but Swoll did some digging and found a few posts on her social media that would say otherwise.
“And then you go and say why do we have to sexualize everything, we don’t but you do, including when you did the exact same warm-up and said this on the video, and put in the caption, ‘practicing every day to please you daddy’ and a photo like this bent over on all fours where you say ‘let me sit on it.'”
Swoll made it clear he has no problem with people making money on OnlyFans, but highlighted that there is a time and place for everything, and what she was doing, was not meant for a public gym.
“Listen, I have no problem with OnlyFans as long as you do so legally but there is a time and place for everything, and the gym is not one of them. If I was a manager or owner of the gym I would ask you once politely to stop doing that and if you did it again, I’d ask you to leave.”
Since committing to making gyms and fitness centers more welcoming, Swoll hasn’t let up on his goal. He recently called out former 2022 Men’s Physique Olympia Erin Banks for setting a bad example after he got angry with gym-goers walking in front of his recorded workout at a public gym. After the ordeal, Banks quickly apologized for his actions.
Swoll, whose movement caught the attention of bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger, has been growing rapidly. He hopes in time to put an end to toxic gym encounters but for now, he will continue to fight one battle at a time.
