Rudy Kadlub made his first ever appearance in the raw division at the recent 2024 IPL Masters Cup, which took place on April 6 in Texas. Kadlub competed in the 100-kilogram weight class, managing to win the competition and set new U100KG Raw Squat and Total IPL Masters World Records.
Rudy Kadlub’s 2024 IPL Masters Cup Performance Overview
Rudy Kadlub’s squat has always been his greatest strength. However, this time around, it was arguably more impressive than ever, as Rudy did not use knee wraps or knee sleeves, to aid him in the lift. In turn, the only piece of equipment that he used was a lifting belt. Ultimately, his heaviest lift of the day came out to 430 pounds (195 kilograms), which marked a new U100KG IPL World Record in the 70-79 age class.
Moving on to the bench press, Rudy Kadlub managed to lock out 281.1 pounds (127.5 kilograms), which is absolutely terrific, considering that he is lifting more weight at nearly 75-years-old than the majority of people that are a lot younger than him can.
The final event of the competition was the deadlift, where Rudy Kadlub once again put up some humongous numbers. His heaviest attempt out of the three turned out to be 518.1 pounds (235 kilograms), which he performed with a sumo stance and a mixed grip.

With all lifts combined, Rudy Kadlub’s Total came out to 1,230 pounds (557.5 kilograms), as a result, he broke another raw U100KG IPL Masters World Record in the 70-79 age class. Moreover, Rudy won the gold medal, was given the ‘Best Lifter’ award, and received $1,200 in prize money.

Rudy Kadlub has been competing since 2006 and has so far taken part in over 40 sanctioned powerlifting competitions since then. He has won the majority of them, mainly conquering the equipped and wrapped divisions. However, he has now also added a win in a full-power raw competition, meaning that he has achieved nearly everything that the sport has to offer.
Now, with some more World Records under his belt, Rudy Kadlub has solidified his status as one of the greatest Masters athletes that the sport has ever seen. However, there is no doubt that Rudy will continue training, thus improving the World Records or perhaps setting some new ones.
