Event One — Deadlift

For their first task of the competition, the athletes faced a 350-kilogram (771.6-pound) deadlift. They were then instructed to perform as many repetitions as possible within the time limit of 60 seconds. The one with the highest number of reps took the win.

The start of the 2024 Strongman Champions League could not have been any more interesting, as a lot of athletes proved to have a similar skill level on the deadlifts. So, it ended up in a three-way tie for first place. Specifically, Invernizzi, Roszkowski, and Khazov locked out 10 repetitions each. So, seeing that there was no stopwatch to measure their splits, they ended up sharing the points.

  • Andrea Invernizzi — 10 reps
  • Adam Roszkowski — 10 reps
  • Ilya Khazov — 10 reps
  • Evans Nana — 9 reps
  • Szymon Holesiński — 8 reps
  • Oskar Ziółkowski — 7 reps
  • Ryan Bennett — 7 reps
  • Kevin Hazeleger — 7 reps
  • Péter Juhász — 6 reps
  • Jakub Szczechowski — 5 reps
  • Mika Törrö — 2 reps
  • Ervin Toots — No Lift

Event Two — Sandbag Toss

The Sandbag Toss has become one of the core Strongman events, which is why it appeared in the 2024 Strongman Champions League Poland as well. In this event, the athletes had to toss five implements increasing in weight over a beam that was set to a height of 4.5 meters. The weight of the implements ranged from 18-kg (39-lb) to 26-kg (57-lb).

While the majority of athletes did manage to reach the final sandbag, only two of them succeeded in tossing it over the beam. The faster of the two was Péter Juhászm, who finished the challenge in a time of 21.19 seconds, which gave him the win.

In turn, Oskar Ziółkowski’s time of 27.74 seconds was only good enough for a second-place finish, ahead of Mika Törrö who was the fastest out of the athletes that completed four bag tosses.

  • Péter Juhász — 5 in 21.19 s
  • Oskar Ziółkowski — 5 in 27.74 s
  • Mika Törrö — 4 in 13.44 s
  • Adam Roszkowski — 4 in 18.05 s
  • Ryan Bennett — 4 in 21.28 s
  • Andrea Invernizzi — 4 in 24.46 s
  • Kevin Hazeleger — 4 in 42.94 s
  • Ervin Toots — 4 in 49.24 s
  • Szymon Holesiński — 3 in 10.54 s
  • Jakub Szczechowski — 3 in 11.25 s
  • Evans Nana — 3 in 14.48 s
  • Ilya Khazov — 3 in 58.48 s

Event Three — Block Press

The third event of the 2024 Strongman Champions League was the Block Press. The task was simple as the athletes had to lift and overhead press three block-shaped implements. They weighed 105 kilograms (231 pounds), 120 kilograms (264.5 pounds), and 135 kilograms (297.5 pounds).

The third block proved to be too heavy for any competitor to lift. In fact, even the second block was a very difficult challenge, which only three athletes managed to achieve. Evans Nana was the quickest to lift two blocks, which gave him his first and only event win of the competition.

Ervin Toots lifted his second implement seven seconds after Nana, thus finishing in second place. The third place went to Andrea Invernizzi, who was nearly 30 seconds slower than Toots.

  • Evans Nana — 2 in 28.56 s
  • Ervin Toots — 2 in 35.78 s
  • Andrea Invernizzi — 2 in 59.61 s
  • Jakub Szczechowski — 1 in 10.23 s
  • Szymon Holesiński — 1 in 11.30 s
  • Kevin Hazeleger — 1 in 12.96 s
  • Ryan Bennett — 1 in 14.24 s
  • Péter Juhász — 1 in 15.10 s
  • Adam Roszkowski — 1 in 21.65 s
  • Oskar Ziółkowski — 1 in 69.56 s
  • Mika Törrö — No Lift
  • Ilya Khazov — No Lift

Event Four — Sled Pull

The penultimate event of the 2024 Strongman Champions League Poland was the Sled Pull. The exact weight that the athletes had to pull was not specified, as multiple people were sitting on top of the sled that had to be dragged across the sand. However, the total distance that they had to cover was 25 meters.

Mika Törrö clearly enjoyed the format of the event, as he was the fastest man to complete the task. His time came out to 51.02 seconds, which gave him a significant lead ahead of the others. Since no one managed to even get close to Mike, he ended up taking the max points.

Ryan Bennett was the only other man who finished the event in under one minute, but he was on the edge of it with a time of 59.27 seconds. Andrea Invernizzy secured another high-scoring result, placing third, five seconds behind Ryan.

  • Mika Törrö — 51.02 seconds
  • Ryan Bennett — 59.27 seconds
  • Andrea Invernizzi — 64.57 seconds
  • Péter Juhász — 66.05 seconds
  • Ervin Toots — 19 meters
  • Szymon Holesiński — 15.62 meters
  • Oskar Ziółkowski — 15.3 meters
  • Evans Nana — 13.2 meters
  • Jakub Szczechowski — 12.79 meters
  • Ilya Khazov — 12.5 meters
  • Kevin Hazeleger — 10.8 meters
  • Adam Roszkowski — 9.9 meters

Event Five — Girl Carry

The final event of the 2024 Strongman Champions League Poland was truly unique, as the athletes had to carry two girls in their arms through water. The total distance that they covered was 30 meters, while the time limit was 60 seconds.

While there are no usual practices or techniques for such an unusual event, Oskar Ziółkowski seemed to figure it out the best. The girls presented no difficulty for him, as he carried them across 30 meters in just 17.98 seconds.

Ervin Toots was the second fastest man, treading through water with ease and crossing the finish line in 21.82 seconds. Péter Juhász was the third man to finish, doing so in a time two seconds slower than Toots.

  • Oskar Ziółkowski — 17.98 seconds
  • Ervin Toots — 21.82 seconds
  • Péter Juhász — 24.83 seconds
  • Adam Roszkowski — 25.44 seconds
  • Mika Törrö — 29.31 seconds
  • Andrea Invernizzi — 33.02 seconds
  • Evans Nana — 34.97 seconds
  • Kevin Hazeleger — 35.02 seconds
  • Szymon Holesiński — 35.17 seconds
  • Jakub Szczechowski — 43.42 seconds
  • Ryan Bennett — 45.38 seconds
  • Ilya Khazov — 20 meters

Andrea Invernizzi is very active, especially in the Strongman Champions League. Well, after making nearly 20 international appearances, Andrea has finally secured a gold medal for himself. Hopefully this is just the start of a great streak for him, as the 2024 SCL season is still far from finished.
