This has been an eventful year for Brian Shaw, as he had multiple ventures, including preparation for an MMA match and organizing one of the greatest Strongman competitions of the season. However, Brian has also actively been training for arm wrestling, waiting until he got an opportunity to compete. Well, he is now ready to make his debut against none other than Eddie Hall.

Brian Shaw and Eddie Hall are good friends with each other. However, their competitive spirits will ensure that both are ready to do their best when the time comes. Specifically, the two men will battle it out at the King of the Table 13, which will take place on December 14th, 2025. The arm wrestling match was announced by Brian, who posted a YouTube video explaining the situation.

“I’m as competitive as a human being can be. So, I have been studying and training; I have been doing a lot of stuff behind the scenes… I know that we have not shown a lot of content around my training, and if I had it my way, I would keep everything pretty much confidential. But I know that people out there want to know and want to see. So there is some stuff that we will show along the way.

The truth is, there is a period of learning that has to happen with me getting into arm wrestling… There are a lot of physical attributes that can benefit me in arm wrestling, but simply put, I have to learn how to arm wrestle… This was the way that I approached Strongman as well.”

Brian Shaw then looked back on one of his podcasts that he held with another World’s Strongest Man champion, Eddie Hall. In that podcast, Brian and Eddie touched up on the topic of arm wrestling. Hall thought that he would be a good adversary to Brian, expressing hope for a future match. Well, months later, that became a reality, as the two behemoths are looking to clash.

“He (Eddie Hall) said that he wanted to challenge me to an arm wrestling match… I didn’t think he was that serious, but that thought has not left his mind, and he wants to be my entrance into the sport of arm wrestling.

He can be the sacrificial lamb! If he wants to come in and thinks that he can pose any type of challenge to me, then I welcome that without a doubt.”

Brian Shaw also addressed the potential concerns that people might have, such as him jumping into a super match for his debut in the sport. He believes that his training environment has already helped him a lot in that regard since he is training with some experienced athletes.

“There are a lot of people that would say that I need to do more local tournaments, but I would argue that with the guys that I have coming to my gym, I am essentially getting all of that experience from them… That is helping me in a big way… So, a super match is what it is going to be.

Eddie Hall is going to be the start. From there, I am just looking at Eddie as a stepping stone to where I ultimately am going to go.”

The King of the Table 13 lineup has not been finalized yet, but Brian Shaw has also revealed some information about the other matches. Judging from that, the entire event is set to be an entertaining show, with Shaw vs Hall being a cherry on top.

“It is going down here in the United States on December 14th at King of the Table 13. This is going to be an absolutely stacked card. The headliner of the card is going to be Levan Saginashvili vs Jerry Cadorette… I have been told that John Brzenk and Devon Larratt will be on the card… I am honored to be a part of this event.”

Brian Shaw also sent a message to Eddie Hall at the end of the video, showing just how confident he is in winning the match. So, the rivalry is starting to heat up and is destined to peak in around two months.

“Eddie will most likely be heading to the hospital after we are done on the table.”

The clash of two former World’s Strongest Man winners is quite a unique event, meaning that the arm wrestling match between Brian Shaw and Eddie Hall should not disappoint. Both have retired from Strongman, which leaves them with plenty of time to get as good as possible in arm wrestling.

Brian Shaw definitely seems to be the favorite in the matchup against Eddie Hall. He has acquired multiple gym pieces to help him improve and trained alongside the likes of Devon Larratt. However, Eddie is capable of achieving the impossible, as was seen when he became the first person to deadlift half a ton
