  • Log Lift: 4 reps with 280-lb (Third-place)
  • Car Walk: 8.00 seconds (First-place)
  • Deadlift: 11 reps with 640-lb (First-place)
  • Medley: 39.83 seconds (Second-place)
  • Sandbag Toss: 25.78 seconds (First-place)
  • Wrecking Ball Hold: 77.50 seconds (Second-place)
  • Atlas Stones: 6 in 35.24 seconds (First-place)

Day One

On the first day of the 2024 Masters (50+) World’s Strongest Man, Mark Felix performed two events. The first of those was the Log Lift, where Mark lifted a 280-pound (127-kilogram) implement for four impressive reps. This secured him a tie for third place, only behind Peter Rundberg and Mike Kromer, both of whom scored seven reps.

The second event featured a Car Walk event, one that Mark Felix has had experience with in the past. In turn, he carried the 730-pound (331-kilogram) car frame across the competition floor in just 8 seconds. This secured him an event win ahead of George Pearson, who was the only other man to finish the event in under 10 seconds.

Day Two

The second day of the 2024 Masters (50+) World’s Strongest Man consisted of two additional events. It opened up with the Axle Deadlift for reps. This turned out to be one of Mark Felix’s greatest displays of strength ever, as he locked out 11 repetitions with 640 pounds (290.3 pounds). So, he showed off both incredible strength and endurance, despite being in his late 50s.

The fourth event of the competition was a medley, where athletes first had to carry 250-lb (114.5-kg) and 275-lb (125-kg) sandbags for 15 meters and then wrap up and close out their performance by pushing a 525-lb (238-kg) sled for 15 meters as well. Peter Rundberg was the winner of the event with a time of 33 seconds, but Mark Felix was the second fastest man with 39.83 seconds.

Day Three

The final day of the 2024 Masters (50+) was also the most active one, as three events took place. It started off with the Sandbag Toss, putting the athletes up against a series of six sandbags weighing from 30-lb (13.5-kg) to 45-lb (20.4-kg). Over his long-lasting career, Mark Felix has had the opportunity to perfect his sandbag tossing technique. This ultimately led him to yet another event win with a time of 25.78 seconds. For reference, no other competitor finished in under 30 seconds.

The penultimate event of the competition was the Wrecking Ball hold, where Mark Felix’s grip strength came to light. He held the 550-pound (249.5-kilogram) implement for 77.5 seconds, making sure to beat his closest rivals. He then dropped the implement despite seemingly being capable of going on for longer. However, that cost him the top spot, as he had to settle in second behind Bob Casalnova, whose result came out to 80.49 seconds.

Mark Felix was already in a comfortable lead going into the final event of the competition, but he still made sure to show his prowess on the Atlas Stones. So, he turned out to be the fastest man to lift all six stones weighing from 225-lb (102-kg) to 350-lb (158.8-kg), doing so in a time of 35.24 seconds. This extended his overall lead to 5 points and secured him his third consecutive title.

He retired from the WSM back in 2023 but is now dominating the Masters (50+) division.
