Tiffany Chapon has been the World Champion in the 47-kilogram weight class for the past four years. So, her appearance at the 2025 IPF World Open Classic Powerlifting Championships on June 8th in Chemnitz was highly anticipated. Tiffany was unable to continue her winning streak but did set a new Raw Bench Press IPF World Record of 102 kilograms (224.9 pounds).

Tiffany Chapon made a strong start in the bench press, starting off with a huge 97.5-kilogram (215-pound) lift. The French powerlifter made it look very easy, performing a controlled movement on the descent of the bar and powering through the press portion with ease.

For her second attempt, Tiffany Chapon decided to chip the U47KG IPF World Record. In order to do so, she had to bench press 102 kilograms (224.9 pounds). Interestingly, this attempt moved quite smoothly as well, allowing Tiffany to improve the record while only wearing a pair of wrist wraps. She also tried to add 3 kilograms (6.6 pounds) for her third attempt. However, that proved to be too big of a jump, since Tiffany was unable to get the bar off from her chest.

*Tiffany Chapon also held the previous U47KG IPF Bench Press World Record of 101.5 kilograms (223.8 pounds). She set the record at the 2025 IPF Sheffield Powerlifting Championships.
