2025 CrossFit Games Final Day Results

Tia-Clair Toomey and Jayson Hopper were crowned the Fittest On Earth.

The final day of the 2025 CrossFit Games took place on August 3rd in Albany, New York, and brought the competition to a close. It featured three individual and two team events, which presented the final opportunity for the competitors to make advancements on the leaderboards. So, at the end of day three, Tia-Clair Toomey and Jayson Hopper were officially crowned winners of the CrossFit Games and Fittest On Earth.

Tia-Clair Toomey had an all-around incredible competition, falling out of the top five in just one out of ten events. So, she concluded the competition with 902 points in total, beating the next best athlete by 182 points. This marked Tia-Clair Toomey’s eighth CrossFit Games title, marking another historic achievement for her and the entire community.

Jayson Hopper spent a substantial amount of time wearing the leader’s jersey throughout the weekend. However, he nearly nullified his lead in the penultimate event of the competition, making two back-to-back mistakes and leaving space open for other athletes to catch up. Luckily, he managed to put up a great performance on the final event to claim the overall victory.

Final Day Recap for Individuals

Individual Event 8 — Going Dark

The eighth individual event at the 2025 CrossFit Games combined multiple styles, including pure conditioning and heavy carries, while also possessing an element of gymnastics. So, the athletes had to chip away at calories on the Echo Bike before proceeding to the Yoke carry. They were then met with 30 deficit handstand push-ups, followed by another Yoke Carry and a session on the Echo Bike.

Complete:

  • 50/40 calories on the Echo bike
  • 100-foot yoke carry
  • 30 deficit handstand push-ups
  • 100-foot yoke carry
  • 50/40 calories on the Echo bike

Men’s Results

Austin Hatfield had full confidence in his ability to complete the 30 deficit handstand push-ups that he did not even burden himself with going all out on the Echo bike. He did struggle to reach the required depth on a few reps due to his height. Despite the setback, Hatfield’s powerful upper body allowed him to string together multiple repetitions at a time. So, he was the first man that proceeded to the Yoke Carry and Echo Bike, making sure to maintain his lead. His winning time came out to 8:16.43.

Jayson Hopper was involved in a very tight race for second place, joining Ricky Garard and Tudor Magda on the final Echo Bike session. However, Hooper is also known as the ‘King of the Echo Bike’, a nickname he earned for his prowess in the mentioned exercise. So, he got ahead of his rivals and claimed the second place with a time of eight minutes and 26 seconds.

Tudor Magda was the man who rounded up the top three, finishing just one second behind Hopper. In doing so, Magda pushed Ricky Garard down to fourth place, helping Hopper extend his overall lead.

Women’s Results

The key to success on the ‘Going Dark’ event turned out to be the deficit handstand push-ups. Many athletes went out too hard on the echo bike, underestimating just how difficult the other portion of the event would be. However, Tia-Clair made the event look easy, performing multiple consecutive repetitions of the deficit handstand push-up to accumulate a massive advantage. So, her time came out to eight minutes and 51 seconds, which was over half a minute faster than anyone else.

Grace Walton was the second-best finisher, adopting a similar technique to Tia-Clair Toomey. However, she was marginally slower than Tia-Clair throughout all movements, finishing with a time of 9 minutes and 32 seconds. This was still much faster than what the remaining athletes managed to achieve.

Alexis Raptis held an impressive pace during the first portion of the event. However, she resorted to taking rest between each rep on the deficit handstand push-ups, which accumulated to a significant amount of time compared to Toomey and Loewen. Raptis still held on for a third-place finish ahead of Aimee Cringle.

Individual Event 9 — Running Isabel

Isabel is one of CrossFit’s benchmark workouts and perhaps the most recognizable test of fitness and strength in the sport. It relies on Olympic weightlifting, utilizing the snatch to push the athletes to their limits. However, this time it came with a twist, as ‘Running Isabel’ also incorporated 200-foot runs in each of the five rounds.

5 rounds for time:

  • 200-foot run
  • 6 snatches (Women: 105-lb, Men: 155-lb)

Men’s Results

It was Austin Hatfield who won two consecutive events on day three of the 2025 CrossFit Games. He was looking over his shoulder, checking who was chasing and making sure to stay ahead with an impressive cycle rate on the snatches. He ended with a time of two minutes and 35 seconds.

Tudor Magda also had an incredible final day, placing second in the Running Isabel event. Tudor had set his time of 2:36.02 in the second heat, putting the pressure on Hatfield and others who went out in heat number three. It ended up being too quick for everyone except for Austin. Dallin Pepper finished in third place after an incredible comeback in the final seconds of the event.

The overall leader, Jayson Hopper, was on pace for a top three finish up until the last snatch repetition. He suddenly lost composure, getting two reps invalidated by the judges and tumbling backwards at one point. So, despite needing just one successful rep to finish in third place, Jayson put his title charge in critical danger by not even placing in the top 10.

Women’s Results

Tia-Clair Toomey came ready to dominate the final day of the 2025 CrossFit Games, taking another event win in the Running Isabel. She performed power snatches with the barbell and showcased impressive strength in doing so. This helped keep her legs a bit more fresh, which carried over to 200-foot runs. So, Tia-Clair took away 100 points with a time of 2:37.83.

Abigail Domit did not hold back, recognizing that Running Isabel was the perfect opportunity for her to move up the leaderboard. She was just slightly slower than Toomey, crossing the line in two minutes and 40 seconds.

Daniele Brandon finished in third place, although her start of the race did not look too promising. Brandon got a surge of energy in the back end of the workout, with which she managed to catch up and overtake a number of athletes. Her final time came out to two minutes and 42 seconds.

Individual Event 10 — Atlas

The final event of the 2025 CrossFit Games consisted of multiple modalities, making sure to encompass all major aspects of fitness. So, the athletes started off by performing three rounds of thrusters and rope climbs. However, it followed an ascending rep scheme, meaning that each following round required a higher number of repetitions on both exercises. Once that was completed, the athletes moved on to a 100-foot overhead walking lunge, thus closing out their appearance at the Games.

Men’s Results

Justin Medeiros was the quickest to finish the final event of the competition but was followed by James Sprague in second place. The difference between the two athletes came out to 0.48 seconds, showing just how tight the race was. This meant a lot to James, as it helped him move up to third place overall.

Jayson Hopper finished in third place during the event, making sure not to let Ricky Garard overtake him. By doing this, Jayson secured enough points to officially become the Fittest Man On Earth for the first time in his career.

Women’s Results

With the overall winner and second place pretty much decided, the main focus on the final event was the battle for the bronze medal. Multiple athletes were within reach of the coveted spot, but Olivia Kerstetter wanted it the most, pushing herself to an event win in order to climb up the leaderboards. She needed just nine minutes to complete the event, excelling where others struggled, and crushing all elements of the workout.

Danielle Brandon also had a goal to break through to the podium, but her plans were ruined by Olivia Kerstetter, who dominated the event. Tia-Clair Toomey finished third in the event and officially claimed her 8th title at the 2025 CrossFit Games. Tia-Clair performed the event at a steady pace, knowing that she had already mathematically secured the gold medal.

Final Day Recap for Teams

Team Event 7 — All on the Line

The seventh event for the teams at the 2025 CrossFit Games featured a complex set of exercises designed to test both individual skills and teamwork. The athletes had to show off their handstand proficiency to start off the event but then moved on to a heavy deadlift, which relied mostly on raw power. The Echo Bike was another challenge that found its place in the event, making it a well-rounded test of fitness.

For time:

  • 100-foot handstand walk, each
  • 30 deadlifts (805 lb)
  • 30/25 calories on the Echo bike (M/F Pair 1)
  • 30 wall-facing strict handstand push-ups (M/F Pair 2)
  • 30/25 calories on the Echo bike (M/F Pair 2)
  • 30 wall-facing strict handstand push-ups (M/F Pair 1)
  • 30 deadlifts (805 lb)
  • 100-foot handstand walk, each

All teams were only as good as their weakest link, since the time stopped only once all four members crossed the finish line. Well, CrossFit Mayhem did not have an issue with this, since everyone put up amazing performances on an individual level. As such, Mayhem finished the event in nine minutes and seven seconds, inching closer to the top spot overall ahead of the final workout.

CrossFit Oslo Kriger’s Kristin Holte was the quickest athlete to finish the event, but the remainder of the team was a bit slower. So, they ended with a time of nine minutes and 10 seconds, losing to CrossFit Mayhem by a very small margin.

CrossFit Invictus was not far behind either, finishing the event just two seconds after Olso Kriger. So, it is clear that the penultimate Team event of the 2025 CrossFit Games was spectacular, with multiple teams finishing within just a few seconds of each other.

Team Event 8 — It All Adds Up

The final event of the 2025 CrossFit Games was revealed just moments before it started, not giving the teams much time to strategize and plan their performance. So, it largely relied on the fitness level of all teams, making it a grueling challenge for everyone.

All for time:

  • 21 Worm thrusters

Then, 4 rounds, alternating athletes on the rope, of:

  • 3 rope climbs
  • 7 synchro burpees over the Worm
  • 15 Worm thrusters

Then, 4 rounds, alternating athletes on the rope, of:

  • 2 rope climbs
  • 5 synchro burpees over the Worm
  • 9 Worm thrusters

Then, 4 rounds, alternating athletes on the rope, of:

  • 1 rope climb
  • 3 synchro burpees over the Worm

Then,

  • 100-foot Worm lunge

Time cap: 11 minutes

CrossFit Oslo Kriger and CrossFit Mayhem were tied on points going into the final event of the 2025 CrossFit Games. So, both teams had just one goal — to finish before their rivals. However, only one could come out on top, and that ended up being CrossFit Oslo Kriger. They were quicker on the rope climbs and the transitions between exercises, securing them the event and overall victories. So, Oslo Kriger became the first team from Europe to win the CrossFit Games.

Camel City CrossFit was the second quickest team, finishing with a time of eight minutes and 42 seconds. They marginally beat a number of other teams, which proved to be a crucial element in their pursuit for the podium. Specifically, Camel City managed to break into third place overall after the last event of the competition.
