The 2025 Strongest Man On Earth took place on August 16-17 in Loveland, Colorado. It consisted of eight events in total and brought together 16 of the world’s greatest Strongman athletes. It was one of the most difficult competitions seen in recent times, but Evan Singleton was the one who managed to come out on top.
The first day of the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth showcased a number of impressive performances, including a new American Log Lift Record and some other spectacular feats of strength. At the end of the day, Trey Mitchell held the lead but was closely followed by multiple guys.
The second day of the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth was even more chaotic, since only fractions of a point separated the top-ranking athletes. So, going into the final event, just 1.5 points separated the overall leader from his two closest rivals, resulting in the most unpredictable finish to a competition this season. Evan Singleton managed to remain calm and focused, claiming the win in the final moments of what turned out to be a spectacular weekend.

Day Two
Event Five — Max Trap Bar Deadlift
The sport of Strongman has incorporated multiple deadlift variations over the years, but the Trap Bar is one that is rarely seen, especially at competitions similar to the Strongest Man On Earth. Well, Brian has decided to test the athletes and see how much weight they can pull with the trap bar. So, the only goal was to establish a one-rep max and outlift everyone else.
The Trap Bar deadlift definitely surprised some athletes who were expected to perform well. On the other hand, others like Evan Singleton and Lucas Hatton excelled, locking out some impressive numbers to top the leaderboard. Specifically, the two men tied for first place since they reached their limit at 1,134 pounds (514.5 kilograms).
Thomas Evans also demonstrated incredible pulling power, showing that the trap bar really fits his lifting technique well. He ended up locking out 1,057 pounds (479.5 kilograms), thus securing a third-place finish in the event.
Some surprising results came from Trey Mitchell and Tom Stoltman, as both athletes are known for insane raw power. However, they placed fourth and 11th, respectively, giving the others an opportunity to catch up on the overall leaderboards.
- Lucas Hatton — 1,134 pounds
- Evan Singleton — 1,134 pounds
- Thomas Evans — 1,057 pounds
- Austin Andrade — 1,047 pounds
- Trey Mitchell — 1,047 pounds

- Maxime Boudreault — 806 pounds
- Bobby Thompson — Withdrawn
- Shane Flowers — Withdrawn
Event Six — Safe Carry
The sixth event of the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth was the Safe Carry. It was a custom Super Yoke which had to be carried for a distance of 20 feet. It consisted of two rounds, with the first one featuring a Yoke of approximately 1,200 pounds (544 kilograms). However, the second round brought in a heavier Yoke of around 1,400 pounds (635 kilograms), as per Brian Shaw’s statement. Time was of the essence for those that finished the event, while distance was taken into account for those that failed to cross the finish line.
The Safe Carry proved to be too difficult for the majority of the lineup, as only two men crossed the finish line with the heavier Yoke. Tristan Hoath took the event win, having finished the event in a time of 11 seconds, which was beyond impressive considering just how much weight he was carrying on his shoulders.
Austin Andrade was the only other man who was successful in completing the event. However, he was approximately six seconds slower than Hoath, which put him in second place. When it comes to the rest of the field, Lucas Hatton was the most successful out of those who didn’t finish the event. He crossed nearly five meters with the heavier Yoke and claimed third place.
- Tristain Hoath — 11.85 seconds (2nd Yoke)
- Austin Andrade — 17.94 seconds (2nd Yoke)
- Lucas Hatton — 4.98 meters (2nd Yoke)

- Tom Stoltman — 1.31 meters (2nd Yoke)
- Ondrej Fojtů — 1.25 meters (2nd Yoke)
- Josh Spurgeon — 1.22 meters (2nd Yoke)
- Trey Mitchell — 0.91 meters (2nd Yoke)
- Wesley Derwinsky — 0.2 meters (2nd Yoke)
- Eddie Williams — 24 seconds (1st Yoke)
- Nick Guardione — DNF (1st Yoke)
- Maxime Boudreault — DNF (1st Yoke)
Event Seven — Standing Chest Press
The second-to-last event of the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth was the Standing Chest Press. It was a custom apparatus that progressively increased the load by dropping a keg into the machine after each rep was completed. So, the goal was to complete as many reps as possible, but the weight increased significantly as the event went by.
As if the competition couldn’t get any more unpredictable, Lucas Hatton won the penultimate event of the show to take over the top spot overall going into the final event. He managed to fill out the machine, reaching the final weight of eight kegs, but also managed to perform two repetitions at that point. So, he walked away with 16 points added to his tally.
Thomas Evans and Evan Singleton also reached the final weight of eight kegs. However, contrary to Hatton, Evans and Singleton only completed one rep, which put them both in second place. While it was an incredible performance, Singleton still lost his overall lead with just one event to go.
- Lucas Hatton — 8 kegs (2 reps)
- Thomas Evans — 8 kegs (1 rep)
- Evan Singleton — 8 kegs (1 rep)
- Trey Mitchell — 8 kegs

- Tristain Hoath — 5 kegs
- Eddie Williams — 5 kegs
- Wesley Derwinsky — 4 kegs
- Nick Guardione — 3 kegs
Event Eight — Front Carry into Power Stairs
The 2025 Strongest Man On Earth ended in a familiar fashion, starting off with a Front Carry, where athletes had to pick up an implement up to their chest and carry it across the arena. Once that was done, the athletes moved on to the Power Stairs, having to carry multiple implements up a flight of stairs. It was a time-based event, meaning that the aim was to finish all tasks as quickly as possible.
Maxime Boudreault claimed his second event win of the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth, but the spotlight was set on the duel between Evan Singleton and Lucas Hatton. They both moved at a similar pace and ended up in a photo finish, leaving the crowd in anticipation waiting for the official results. Ultimately, Evan turned out to be just slightly quicker, overtaking Lucas on the overall leaderboards and officially winning the competition.
- Maxime Boudreault — 37.76 seconds
- Wesley Derwinsky — 38.00 seconds
- Nick Guardione — 43.00 seconds
- Evan Singleton — 44.00 seconds

Day One
Event One — Max Log Lift
Brian Shaw has decided to kick off the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth event with a Log Lift for Max Weight event. So, all athletes were given three attempts to establish a one-rep max. What makes Brian’s version of this event so unique is that the athletes were given the ability to choose their own weights, similar to a powerlifting-style competition. So, they had the freedom to choose and strategize.
Lucas Hatton was predicted to be the event winner by many. Well, he exceeded the expectations, taking the event win and setting a brand-new American Log Lift Record of 490.7 pounds (222.5 kilograms). Even that lift looked easy, sparking a question: could Lucas break the World Record at some point in the future?
Trey Mitchell was another athlete who had an incredible performance. He also exceeded the American Log Lift Record with a lift of 485 pounds (220 kilograms). Unfortunately for him, Lucas outshined him just minutes later. Trey still settled for a valuable second-place finish.
Thomas Evans had an unusual showing in the Max Log Lift event. His opener looked very shaky, but each following attempt, despite being heavier, turned out much smoother for Tom. He ended the event with the heaviest lift of 206 kilograms (455 pounds). So, while many wrote him off after the first lift, Evans managed to pull it back and claim third place.
- Lucas Hatton — 222.5 kilograms [American Log Lift Record]
- Trey Mitchell — 220 kilograms
- Thomas Evans — 206 kilograms
- Tom Stoltman — 205 kilograms
- Austin Andrade — 202 kilograms
- Ondrej Fojtů — 202 kilograms
- Evan Singleton — 200 kilograms
- Nick Guardione — 195 kilograms
- Josh Spurgeon — 195 kilograms
- Bobby Thompson — 193 kilograms
- Maxime Boudreault — 191 kilograms
- Shane Flowers — 188 kilograms
- Wesley Derwinsky — 172 kilograms
- Tristain Hoath — 172 kilograms
- Bryce Johnson — 172 kilograms
- Eddie Williams — 172 kilograms
Event Two — Frame into Arm-Over-Arm
The second event of the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth consisted of two parts. It started off with a 375-kilogram (826.7-pound) Frame Carry. Once that was done, the athletes moved over to an arm-over-arm rope pull / vertical lift. Looking at the event, it was clear that it was predominantly focused on testing the grip strength of the athletes, since both components required some serious forearm power and endurance.
Eddie Williams, also known as ‘The Singing Strongman’, carried away the win in event two of the competition. He always excels in grip challenges but also possesses incredible speed. So, the Frame into Arm-Over-Arm was the perfect event for him. Being the quickest man in the field, Eddie added 16 points to his tally.
Evan Singleton was the second quickest athlete, finishing both tasks in a very quick manner. This helped him get back into the title race following a seventh-place finish in the opening event. Bryce Johnson rounded up the top three, finishing just behind Singleton.
Trey Mitchell unfortunately finished in last place, mainly due to the nerve damage that he suffered years ago, which affects his grip strength significantly. So, Trey was unable to hold on to the frame and missed out on a lot of valuable points.
- Eddie Williams — 23.47 seconds
- Evan Singleton — 24.03 seconds
- Bryce Johnson — 25.45 seconds
- Ondrej Fojtů — 26.86 seconds
- Tristain Hoath — 28.0 seconds
- Josh Spurgeon — 30.17 seconds
- Tom Stoltman — 30.26 seconds
- Wesley Derwinsky — 30.81 seconds
- Maxime Boudreault — 32.61 seconds
- Thomas Evans — 14.96 meters
- Austin Andrade — 12.57 meters
- Lucas Hatton — 11.58 meters
- Nick Guardione — 10.72 meters
- Bobby Thompson — 4.29 meters
- Shane Flowers — 3.15 meters
- Trey Mitchell — 1.07 meters
Event Three — Keg Toss for Max Weight
The Keg Toss event was a repeat from last year, as it proved to be quite an interesting task. Although it might seem like a standard tossing event, it was much more than that. The beam was set to a height of 4.57 meters, while the weight of the keg was the element that changed with each round. So, the athletes progressively tossed heavier kegs in each following round, up until they reached failure. The last man standing won.
Maxime Boudreault came out victorious in the Keg Toss event, being the only man that managed to toss an 80-lb implement over the beam. Multiple athletes tried but lacked either the power or the technique to achieve such a feat. That was not the case with Maxime, as he easily completed the toss and waited to see if he would have to go another round. With others failing, he had no need to push himself further, walking away with an additional 16 points under his belt.
Multiple other guys tied for second place with a maximum keg toss of 75 pounds. Those are Wesley Derwinsky, Shane Flowers, and Trey Mitchell. So, they had to share the points, giving Maxime the opportunity to make up a lot of ground on the overall leaderboards.
- Maxime Boudreault — 80 pounds
- Wesley Derwinsky — 75 pounds
- Shane Flowers — 75 pounds
- Trey Mitchell — 75 pounds
- Nick Guardione — 75 pounds
- Thomas Evans — 70 pounds
- Tristain Hoath — 70 pounds
- Evan Singleton — 70 pounds
- Tom Stoltman — 70 pounds
- Austin Andrade — 65 pounds
- Bryce Johnson — 65 pounds
- Bobby Thompson — 65 pounds
- Eddie Williams — 65 pounds
- Ondrej Fojtů — 60 pounds
- Lucas Hatton — 60 pounds
- Josh Spurgeon — 60 pounds
Event Four — Manhood Stones
The final event of the first day at the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth was the Manhood Stones. It was a very controversial event last year, since many athletes were unable to achieve the numbers they expected. However, they returned once again, as Brian hoped that the competitors would have a different approach this year. The event put athletes in front of a series of stones of different weights. The athletes had a choice of what weight they wanted to lift and how many reps they were able to achieve. It is important to note that even just one rep with a heavier stone beat any number of reps with the lighter one.
Bryce Johnson continued with his incredible performances, taking the event win to wrap up day one of the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth. He was the only man who was capable of lifting the 550-pound Manhood Stone, even managing to lock out two repetitions with the massive boulder. This helped him break into the top five overall going into day two.
Trey Mitchell noticed that some of his rivals, including Tom Stoltman and Evan Singleton, underperformed. So, instead of taking the risk and going after Bryce, Trey decided to settle for a second-place finish and performed four reps with a 500-pound Manhood Stone.
Austin Andrade and Lucas Hatton both performed two reps with the 500-pound stone. However, Austin did so in a time of 77 seconds, which was enough to beat Hatton by 8 seconds. So, Andrade finished in third place while Hatton had to settle for fourth.
Interestingly, Tom Stoltman, also known as the ‘King of the Stones’, came into the event as a big favorite. However, he finished in seventh place after completing just one rep with the 500-pound stone.
- Bryce Johnson — 69.33 s (2 reps, 550-lb)
- Trey Mitchell — 81.05 s (4 reps, 500-lb)
- Austin Andrade — 77.0 9s (3 reps, 500-lb)
- Lucas Hatton — 85.21 s (3 reps, 500-lb)
- Tristain Hoath — 49.78 s (2 reps, 500-lb)
- Nick Guardione — 59.37 s (2 reps, 500-lb)
- Tom Stoltman — 5.81 s (1 rep, 500-lb)
- Thomas Evans — 17.33 s (1 rep, 500-lb)
- Eddie Williams — 37.00 s (1 rep, 500-lb)
- Wesley Derwinsky — 42.00 s (1 rep, 500-lb)
- Josh Spurgeon — 79.00 s (2 rep, 450-lb)
- Evan Singleton — 5.00 s (1 rep, 450-lb)
- Ondrej Fojtů — 80.00 s (1 rep, 450-lb)
- Maxime Boudreault — No Lift
- Shane Flowers — No Lift
- Bobby Thompson — No Lift

Evan Singleton took full advantage of the opportunity and claimed the biggest title of his career so far. Over his career, Evan has competed in 33 international competitions, with this marking his seventh major victory.
