The 2026 French Throwdown CrossFit Semifinal took place on the weekend of May 15-17 in Paris. The premier event showcased countless impressive displays of fitness and intense battles for the podium in both the men’s and women’s divisions, as each featured three qualifying spots for the CrossFit Games. Ultimately, Jayson Hopper and Mirjam von Rohr won the competition.

Men

The reigning Fittest Man On Earth, Jayson Hooper, traveled from the USA to France to put on a staggering performance in the prestigious semifinal competition. He ended up claiming a very comfortable victory and beat over 30 other elite athletes. Hopper placed in the top two across all events except the fifth one and ended up with 554 points in total.

Moritz Fiebig and Nika Maisuradze placed second and third, respectively, claiming the remaining two qualifying spots for the 2026 CrossFit Games. Interestingly, only one point ended up separating the two, showing just how unpredictable their duel was.

Women

Mirjam von Rohr made her debut at the CrossFit Games last year. So, in order to secure her second consecutive appearance, she made sure to win the 2026 French Throwdown CrossFit Semifinal. Mirjam won three events and secured very consistent top-ten finishes across the remaining workouts, which earned her 526 points overall.

Aimee Cringle was the only other woman who accumulated over 500 points and thus walked away with a silver medal and a ticket for the CrossFit Games. The battle for bronze included multiple athletes, but Elisa Fuliano managed to narrowly beat the likes of Leah Storen and Claudia Gluck to secure her spot on the podium and at the upcoming Games.

The 2026 French Throwdown CrossFit Semifinal is sending some incredible athletes to the CrossFit Games, including the defending champion, Jayson Hopper, and the former CrossFit Open winner, Mirjam von Rohr. Approximately one third of the Games roster has already been filled, but the upcoming weeks will bring more CrossFit Semifinals, each of which carries a limited number of qualifying spots.
