Throwback: In the above video a ‘Meatheads’ powerlifter gets kicked out of a planet fitness gym because they did not like him grunted. Sometimes bodybuilders are trolling the Planet Fitness gym but sometimes they are not doing anything wrong. Of course, it’s widely known that Planet Fitness has a “bodybuilders not allowed” mentality. One that is strangely hilarious and bizarre at the same time. What qualifies a bodybuilder? How do they decide?

“Meatheads, bodybuilders, and jerks. We call them lunks and they are not welcome in our gym.”
That gym company is full of ass holes! They are “man shaming” bodybuilders! I get that toxic masculinity is a very big problem in today’s world but shaming guys for it is just as bad. Just because someone is grunting or dropping weights doesn’t mean that they are being arrogant or rude or trying to assert their dominance onto other people, especially other less muscular guys. The belief that bodybuilding athletes are meatheads or narcissists or “lunks” as PF puts it, are just nasty stereotypes that the public started believing in the 1990s. What they should really do is drop the whole anti-bodybuilders idea and just kick out gym members if they start getting nasty behavior, Gold’s Gym does it. Plus, many fitness experts online like J Swolle are calling out people for that behavior, and that’s helping tremendously. Besides, if someone is feeling upset about their body around these guys, the gyms could hire “gym therapists” to help these people.
