When you are the White House’s head chef, chances are you already have an inspirational story. However in the case of Andre Rush, that is just the tip of the iceberg.

Rush is a man of many talents. He served as a veteran in the U.S. Army for over two decades, and served as chef for four different presidents. Most recently he garnered attention for his massive arms, and clear passion for fitness and nutrition.

Throughout all of this, Andre Rush is always looking to be an inspiration to others. He is constantly there for people who are struggling with their mental health. Not only that, but as he said in a recent interview, he is always looking to uplift people and help them improve.

“I tell people to not become complacent; Don’t get comfortable; don’t just think just because you’re there that your service is stellar. You have to always work each and every day,” he says.

“My key to success is that every day is a reset button. It’s like my first day.” He continued, “I just got a message that said, ‘Just remember, you’ll always be nobody bro.’ And I responded, ‘You’re right, but I’ll be that nobody that everyone remembers.’”

Chef Andre is right about one thing: people will surely remember him. From his efforts to help homeless people, to notably doing 2,222 push-ups a day, there is a lot of reason to remember him. As for why he is the way he is, he just looks to be different.

“I tell people all the time, ‘Be different,’” he says. “If I tell people I do 22 pushups a day, they say ‘Oh’ and that’s the end of that. But I tell them I do 2,222 then people say, ‘I don’t know who you are, but I want to know who you are.’ It invites them in to learn more.”

Rush has made an impact on more than just fans of his fitness and nutrition pursuits. Chief Olympia Officer Dan Solomon was even blown away, saying that Chef Andre is always welcome at the big bodybuilding show.

“The chef is doing a tremendous job as an advocate for the fitness community. He inspires millions around the world through his work advocating for mental health, while also using his platform to motivate his followers to build strength, both mentally and physically.

We are always pleased to welcome Chef Rush to Vegas each year for Olympia Weekend.”

Andre Rush is a truly amazing man, with an inspirational story and a positive outlook on life. It is wonderful to see him having such a big impact on the world.
