The greatest German female powerlifter, Denise Herber, has reached an all-time high in her career, having recently set a new 290-kilogram (639.3-pound) raw deadlift personal record in training. Herber shared the lift on her Instagram page, which garnered a lot of attention, being one of the heaviest deadlifts performed by a woman in powerlifting.

Denise Herber is known for her deadlift power and technique, as she moves mind-blowing amounts of weight with a conventional stance and a mixed grip. She also performs her deadlifts raw, meaning she can only use a lifting belt and some chalk to help her out.

The start of Denise Herber’s recent 290-kilogram (639.3-pound) deadlift did not look too promising, as it took a few seconds for it to get moving off the floor. However, once it started going upward, the speed of the lift just kept increasing. So, soon enough, Denise reached lockout and walked away with a new personal record.

“Finally I made it, new PB. And wow this pull felt so good!”

Denise Herber’s new 290-kilogram (639.3-pound) raw deadlift PR came just in time, as she is almost ready to compete. She plans to take part in the 2024 WRPF Ghost Clash 3, which is scheduled to occur on April 6-7, in Miami, Florida. It will be one of the best competitions of the year, featuring countless All-Time World Record holders. But, Denise will evidently be bringing in a humongous deadlift as well.

Who is Denise Herber?

Denise Herber is a German powerlifter and has been in the sport for eight years, during which she rose to the highest level with prestigious titles and humongous lifts. So, she is now one of the most respected females in the sport, but is still chasing even more success. Herber is predominantly focused on her deadlifts, especially since some former surgeries are still preventing her from reaching her full potential on the bench press. However, despite the fact that her deadlift is levels above, Herber’s squat and bench press numbers are also highly ranked in the 75-kilogram weight class.
