Farhanna Farid competed in the 52-kilogram weight class at the 2025 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships on June 9th in Chemnitz, Germany. Despite not winning the competition, she was one of the most spectacular lifters to watch, especially toward the end of the day, when she got the opportunity to showcase her deadlift power. In the end, Farhanna managed to pull 209.5 kilograms (461.9 pounds), thus setting a new U52KG Raw Deadlift IPF World Record.

Farhanna Farid had decent performances on the squat and bench but still had plenty of energy remaining for the deadlift. So, she opened up with an impressive deadlift at 195 kilograms (429.9 pounds). While only a handful of women in the 52-kilogram weight class can pull 200 kilograms (440.9 pounds), Farhanna exceeded it by 5 kilograms (11 pounds) on her second attempt already.

With one attempt left, Farhanna Farid had nothing to lose. So, she decided to chip the former world record, breaking it by 0.5 kilograms (1.1 pounds). Consequently, she had to put 209.5 kilograms (461.9 pounds) onto the bar. When the time came to attempt the deadlift, Farhanna utilized a sumo stance and a mixed grip in order to get the weight up. The lift was exceptionally impressive, as Farhanna seemed to have been capable of lifting much more weight.

*Farhanna Farid held the previous U52KG Raw Deadlift IPF World Record of 209-kg (460.8-lb), which she set at the 2024 IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships.
