Farhanna Farid Sets Raw Deadlift U52kg Ipf World Record

Farhanna Farid has been one of the most dominant Asian powerlifters for some time now and has represented her country at the highest level on a number of occasions. Her most recent appearance occurred at the 2025 Asian Open and Masters Equipped & Classic Powerlifting Championships on December 3rd in Istanbul, Türkiye. Farhanna competed in the 52-kilogram weight class, where she set a new 217.5-kilogram (479.5-pound) Raw Deadlift IPF World Record.

Farhanna Farid’s greatest strength is undoubtedly the deadlift, as no one in her weight class can come even close to her lifts. So, her opening pull of 202.5 kilograms (446.4 pounds) garnered a lot of attention. She then continued impressing the fans with a smooth 212.5-kilogram (468.5-pound) deadlift on her second attempt.

Having secured the title at this point of the competition, Farhanna Farid decided to go for a new U52KG IPF World Record on her final deadlift attempt. She took on a 217.5-kilogram (479.5-pound) pull to chip the record, utilizing a sumo stance and a mixed grip to achieve the feat. Farhanna made it look like a routine lift, easily reaching lockout and concluding her performance.

*Farhanna Farid also held the previous U52KG Raw Deadlift IPF World Record of 217-kg (478.4-lb). She achieved the lift at the 2025 IPF World Games.
