Thursday was not a good time for Hafthor Bjornsson to get injured but, unfortunately, everyone in attendance had to see him limping after the farmer’s walk/yolk medley. And no one wants to see their favorite athlete hurt but Bjornsson still managed to finish the event. Rob Kearney blew by him to win the event but now he’s rehabbing his torn plantar fascia, and the great news is that he will still compete…

You can see Bjornsson struggling in this video…

Quick update guys. I had an MRI yesterday evening and was informed that I have torn my plantar fascia during the Farmers and Yoke medley. This injury will bring me a lot of pain and discomfort but the good news is I’m able to keep going with some pain management. Let’s do this!! 💪 #BackToBackChamp
Thanks for all the support guys I love you all.”

Hafthor Bjornsson started off very well in the Monster Truck pull for event 1 with a time of 34.36 to take the lead. But, little did anyone know he’d be hurt in the very next event.

However, fans will be happy to hear he’ll still be competing and will have to push through the pain for the deadlift for reps and overhead press for reps event taking place today.
